"The sealing"

Moreover, whatever interpretation we may place on any statement in reference to any truth, must be in harmony with every other statement on the subject.—3SC1:11.1
Let us now assemble together to analyze and then count "the sealing" phrase one by one as it specifically relates to Ezek. 9. After this exhaustive exposé it will become abundantly clear how this phrase has more than one aspect.
References with asterisks on either side of it indicate the reception of a special mark at the time of the antitypical Passover, the separation of the tares from among the wheat after the breaking of the 7th seal in heaven.

In total, 123 out of 276 affirm that "the sealing" refers to the moment when the separation occurs—The purification of the Church.
Out of 276, four are not dealing with Rev. 7 so the number is reduced to 272 occurences.
Out of 272, only 15 use the phrase outside of the separation. This means that for all these years, we have been using 15 occurrences stressing only one aspect above and against the other 123 overlooked on the second aspect. That "the sealing" is not only about what the message has been doing since 1929/1930 but what will happen when the "firstfruits" are harvested at the Eleventh Hour by the man with the writer's inkhorn by his side.
Out of 257 occurrences dealing with Rev. 7, only 4 mention "the sealing angel" outside of the moment of separation. However, none so strong that identifies the man with the writer's inkhorn placed at the moment of separation as in 3Tr:66.3. Again, we cannot exalt a minority of references to neutralize explicit references such as 3Tr:66.3. It's time to acknowledge the insufficient weight against 123 positive affirming occurrences in favor of placing "the sealing" at the moment of bodily separation. We will not be found unfaithful by selecting one between the two. We are accepting both sides without conflating them or suppressing one aspect over the other. One aspect of "the sealing" is always about settling into the "present truth" which can only occur while probation is open for the church. The other aspect of "the sealing" is always about receiving the seal at the moment of separation after probation for the church is closed.
It should become plain as day that the references that matter most, where a vital point of truth is concerned, are wherever Bro. Houteff interprets a subject while giving a complete bible study. On the phrase of "the sealing" the first 82 + 2 [14Tr:19.3; 5Tr:89.1] records begin with 1SR all the way through to the last of 2TG. 15 out of 72 occurrences using the phrase "the sealing" do not deal with the separation. Again, these 15 occurrences must not be used to overthrow the 73 other occurrences. 15 is insufficient and fails to constitute the weight of evidence.
The last 17 occurrences come from miscellaneous tracts such as WHR; Jezreel Letters; Reporting Un-Adventist Activity; SR Vol. 1 pocket Ed.; Fundamental beliefs. Only 4 are dealing with the phrase outside of the separation.
The answerers are not included in the count for either support on any side because all answers given must always be viewed in the light of any complete Bible study and not the other way around as they have traditionally been summarily abused and distorted consistently. Yet they contain references that prove that "the sealing" involves the time of the separation.
"There is no excuse for anyone in taking the position that there is no more truth to be revealed, and that all our expositions of Scripture are without an error. The fact that certain doctrines have been held as truth for many years by our people, is not a proof that our ideas are infallible. Age will not make error into truth, and truth can afford to be fair. No true doctrine will lose anything by close investigation."—"Counsels to Writers and Editors," p. 35.—1JL:9.1
One thing is certain "the sealing" + "message" is God's chosen, ordained instrument revealing the prediction of a future EVENT that has not occurred yet by fulfilling Ezek. 3:16-21. However, when the moment comes for the EVENT (Ezek. 9) to take place it will involve both the capacity of "the sealing" and the separation of the living "firstfruits" saints from among the tares, the 144,000 at the commencement of harvest TIME. This is the weight of evidence. Facts are facts whether believed or not (EW:99.2).

To cement further what is being ignored by some.
"…it will be well to bear in mind that any INTERPRETATION of scripture which fails fittingly to build an indestructible structure of truth and to bring a lesson of special importance for the time then present, is erroneous, uninspired by the spirit of Truth—a vain thing."—15Tr:34.1
Consider, now, with what exact fidelity to the natural harvest the Master has stated the truths of the spiritual harvest: "Let BOTH grow together until the harvest," He says: "and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into My barn." Matt. 13:30. {3Tr:65.2}
In these parabolic words Christ has made the spiritual method of harvesting
3 Tract 65
analogous to the natural method. Were the one not precisely like the other, He would have distinguished the difference. Be admonished, therefore, not to let vain imaginings come into the mind, but stand squarely on the Scriptures, for they are full of meaning of illimitable value—are, indeed, your very life.—3Tr:65.2, 3
Who Are the Reapers? {3Tr:66.2}
"The reapers are the angels" who "shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just." Matt. 13:39, 49. These angels are not those who shall "come"
3 Tract 66
with Christ at His second coming, but rather those whom He "shall send forth.'' They are like the three angels of Revelation 14:6-11. Indeed, the third angel "is to select the wheat from the tares and seal, or bind, the wheat for the heavenly garner."—Early Writings, p. 118. Therefore the angels, the reapers, whom Christ sends forth, include both him who does the sealing, or binding, and those who follow on to do the destroying (Ezek. 9:2, 5, 6), first in the church, then in the world. Thus is the
Separation in Two Sections.—3Tr:66.2, 3
[[ NOTE: Now pay close sanctifying attention to the next paragraphs that cannot be understood independently from the previous ones. ]]
This being the dreadful experience of the tares in Babylon, in the second section of the harvest, there must, as a type, be a similar and precedent experience for the tares in the Laodicean church, in the FIRST section of the harvest, a parallel which shows conclusively that
The Church Is Not Babylon. {3Tr:71.1}
The reason that the church is figuratively not "Babylon" is that it is called Jerusalem (Ezek. 9:4, 8), and from among the good therein, the wicked (the tares) are destroyed, taken out, by the SIX MEN with the slaughter WEAPONS (Ezek. 9:6-9), and then afterward the good (the wheat) are gathered in "the barn;" while from among the wicked in Babylon, the just ("My people") are called out and gathered into the barn, and then the seven angels pour out the seven last plagues, and the remaining wicked are destroyed. {3Tr:71.2}
Thus in the first section of the harvest, the separation in the church, the wicked are destroyed by SIX MEN with slaughter WEAPONS, before the good are taken out; and in the second section, the separation among the churches in Babylon, the wicked are destroyed by seven angels with the seven last plagues, after the good are taken out. There are therefore two separations and two fruits: the former gives the first fruits, the 144,000, who are not defiled with women (Rev. 14:4). That is, THEY are those whom THE SEALING MESSAGE finds
3 Tract 71
in the church of God, not in the heathen churches. And the second gives the second fruits, the great multitude from all nations, some of whom also may be undefiled with women—heathen churches.—3Tr:71.1-3
Brethren who will be wise. End the controversy here. Both the former seal and the latter seal of "WHAT IS THE SEAL?" (2An:32.3) regarding the Shepherd's Rod message are implicated directly in a direct Bible Study where the prophet is interpreting under the influence of the Spirit of Truth who NEVER ERRS.
What have we seen thus far?
1. At
the commencement of the harvest the work of the reapers involves both he who
does the sealing and those who follow on to do the work of bodily separation.
2. That there are SIX reapers involved and one
among them in the FUTURE will perform sealing work after probation has closed
for the church..
3. The only reason that the previous points
are possible, that the HARVEST (Matt. 13:30) can COMMENCE as described is
because of THE SEALING MESSAGE finds 144,000 saints worthy to be delivered from
the slaughtering WEAPONS of SIX MEN.
4. The sealing message searching out the
144,000 is not the fulfillment of Ezek. 9:4 but rather the fulfillment of Ezek.
3:17-21 (1Tr:41.1-42.1; 12.2-4).
5. The sealing message is seen to be something
different and apart from one of the reaping (3An:63.3) angels responsible for
putting/setting a mark upon the foreheads during the 1/2 hour silence
(5Tr:114.1; 2SC5,6:10.2)
6. Does Jesus speak to the SIX reapers in 1929
or in the future AT the threshold of the house WHEN the prophecy of Ezekiel 9
begins to be fulfilled?
To raise our voice against these plain facts revealed in Tract No. 3 amounts to maintaining our self-righteousness and rejecting the righteousness of Christ which is pure, unadulterated truth. What will you choose to wear at the coming of the bridegroom is left up to you.
Rev. 14:5—And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.
Does the SRod interpret an angel figuratively?
Here we are again told that there are two reapings, one by the Son of Man, and another by an angel. The reaping by the Son of Man precedes the reaping by the angel. "Son of Man," therefore, gathers the firstfruits, and the angel gathers the second fruits. (The vines, not the fully ripe grapes, he casts in the wine press.) The Son of Man Himself obviously reaps the firstfruits because His servants (figuratively the angel of the church of the Laodiceans) are in no condition to do such a work, for they themselves are "wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked," and know it not (Rev. 3:14-18).—2TG44:37.3
Likewise, what do we make of these references:
In 1844, as all Seventh-day Adventists know, Sister White was given a vision of the 144,000 signalizing the sealing angel's starting his ascent from the east (Rev. 7:2-4). From then on he was ascending, and the saints were awaiting his arrival. Finally, in 1929, through the Sabbath School Lessons the Lord announced throughout the Seventh-day Adventist Denomination that the angel had arrived. Then the scroll began to unroll and the angel's PRESENCE to be felt by many of those who were agonizing for truth and righteousness.
"But how can we know for sure," another questions, "that this and companion publications ARE the genuine fruit of the unrolling of the scroll and of the sealing angel's arrival?"—Simply if the claimant herein
1 Shepherd's Rod Tract 10
on trial is vindicated by all relevant Scripture and other inspired testimony. And if it is, then the only admissible conclusion is that the Divinely appointed and long-awaited hour has struck, and that this literature is the instrument used by Inspiration to make the event known to God's people.—1Srp:10.2, 3
The language of the unrolling of the scroll has always to do with the revealing of sealed truth. The one paragraph gives us the meaning of the arrival of the angel in Revelation 7.
The same was stated in 1SR:
The angel's MESSAGE of Revelation 7—the angel ascending from the east—is as important as the first, second, and third angel's MESSAGES of Rev. 14:6-11. It must be understood and given to the people at the right time, as also the mighty angel of Rev. 18:1. The loud cry must come at a given time. This angel of Revelation 7, CAN NOT be the third angel, for John's explanation of them differ. The three angels of Revelation 14 are flying in the midst of heaven, or where the sun stands at noon, but the one of Revelation 7, is ascending from the east, or the rising of the sun. The message of this angel has never been understood at any time, nor proclaimed by this denomination or any other people, and only theories have been advanced. It is evident that this truth, as other truths, must come at the right time.—1SR:15.1
When the reapers shall come (SIX MEN) with the Lord of the harvest the sealing angel of Ezek. 9:4 will not teach anything to anyone in Laodicea. Probation for the SDA Church is closed then. However, what does inspiration propose NOW for the fulfillment of Rev. 7:1-3? Isn't it the falling of the latter rain of truth? Doesn't this fall before probation closes for the church? Think brethren for yourselves and make the unashamedly right choice rightly dividing the word of truth.
…He who desires to KNOW the truth must be willing to accept all that it reveals. He can make no compromise with error. To be wavering and halfhearted in allegiance to truth is to choose the darkness of error and satanic delusion. – {DA 312.4}
Worldly policy and the undeviating principles of righteousness do not blend into each other imperceptibly, like the colors of the rainbow. Between the two a broad, clear line is drawn by the eternal God. The likeness of Christ stands out as distinct from that of Satan as midday in contrast with midnight. And only those who live the life of Christ are His co-workers. If one sin is cherished in the soul, or one wrong practice retained in the life, the whole being is contaminated. The man becomes an instrument of unrighteousness.—DA:312.4-313.1
God deliver us from ourselves.

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
Did you know that Bro. Houteff never uses Ezekiel chapter 9 to show the arrival of "present truth"? Why is that?
We also found in the ”golden bowl” explicitly about Ezekiel 9 “These words will be literally fulfilled.” (1MR:260.2.) That should mean something to the reverent student of the Bible.
Just when you thought there was nothing else to be observed with the sealing there is more. Take a closer look at this:
In view of this sad fact, God must have a second leadership to finish His greatest work since the world began. Of this second set of servants, we read: "And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he CRIED with a loud voice to the four angels,…saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God IN their foreheads." "And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God." Rev. 7:2, 3; 14:5. {2Tr:39.1}
Thus by testimony and by symbol, the Word of God brings to view two dissimilar classes of "servants"—the one "lukewarm," the other "without fault."—2Tr:39.1, 2
Based on 2Tr:39.1, 2, Which sealing can possibly be accomplished without hurting, and which is achieved with hurting for repentant Laodiceans?

Ezekiel 9:4 cannot be logically interpreted outside of "THE EVENT."
