Are we on our way home now?

The gathering of the 144,000 is antitypical Jacobites returning to the promised land. Isa. 54:6, 7—"For the Lord hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God.  For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee." {1TG39:9.5}  Vol. 1 Timely Greetings No. 39 9      The statement, "for a small moment have I forsaken thee," being set forth in contrast to the statement, "but with great mercies will I gather thee," shows that God's forsaking her is her dispersion among the Gentiles, and that her gathering is her returning to the homeland, her inhabiting the desolate cities.—1TG39:9.5-10.1  [1947] Who gathers the 144,000? God Who gathers the GM? The 144,000 [Proof: 9Tr 68.4] Who does this verse refer to? The 144,000. Is God gathering the 144,000 now? Yes [Proof: 4Tr:34.2, 3; 5Tr:102.3; 8Tr:47.4] Then according to Isa. 54:6, 7 " her  [[ the 144,000...

Who is the Ensign?

We mustn’t be so quick to jump to conclusions. This is Brother Houteff’s quoting of the Bible and his interpretation that never changes nor is updated.        Isa. 11:12, first part: “And he shall  set up an  ensign  for the nations.”  Again we read in Isa. 66:19, “And I will set  a sign among them,  and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations.”  The 63rd chapter has the same reference as Isaiah 59, part of verse 19, is here quoted: “So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west and his glory from the rising of the sun.”  The  “sign”   is extensive  [1TG5:10.3, 4; 1TG34:16.5; 5SC1-5:9.4] from the east to the west, and has a meaning for the entire world. The “destruction”  is the “sign” and example to the nations, and the “remnant” are those who are left (the 144,000).  Following this we have the “Loud Cry” (the harvest): “Those who come up to every point, and stand every test, a...

Why Sis. White’s writings are not set chronologically?

SINCE THE INITIAL WRITINGS ON VARIOUS COMPONENTS OF THE CONFLICT OF THE AGES STORY WERE ENLARGED TWO OR THREE TIMES, IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO PRESENT A PRECISE CHRONOLOGICAL SEQUENCE OF ELLEN WHITE'S WORK DEPICTING THE EVENTS OF THE AGELONG CONTROVERSY . IT SHOULD ALSO BE NOTED THAT ELLEN WHITE CONSIDERED ALL PARTS OF THIS NARRATIVE AS PART OF THE GREAT CONTROVERSY STORY, WHETHER OLD TESTAMENT, NEW TESTAMENT, OR POST-BIBLICAL HISTORY.—3SM:88.2           Receiving and Imparting the Light        As inquiries are frequently made as to my state in vision, and after I come out, I would say that when the Lord sees fit to give a vision, I am taken into the presence of Jesus and angels, and am entirely lost to earthly things. I can see no farther than the angel directs me . My attention is often directed to scenes transpiring upon earth.  {1SM 36.3}        At times I am carried far ahead into the future...

"The four winds of the earth"

Image
"The four WINDS of the earth" WHAT are they?      "I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth [ at the TIME of the sealing of the 144,000], holding the four winds of the earth  that the wind should not blow  on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.  And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels,  to whom it was given to hurt  the earth and the sea, saying, Hurt   not  the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads."  Rev. 7:1-3. {8Tr:21.2}       Here are brought to view two hurtings  about to take place: one  by the winds, the OTHER  by the angels; and two  commands to the angels: one  that they restrain the winds, that the winds blow not  "on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree" (verse 1); the OTHER  ...

Time of Jacob’s Trouble & Fundamental Beliefs - part A

Time of Jacob’s Trouble & Fundamental Beliefs of DSDA —A Reply      A response to the suggestion that Jacob’s Time of trouble takes place after the slaughter of Ezekiel Nine   The “ Fundamental Beliefs and directory of the Davidian Seventh-day Adventists , (FB) pp 12 – 13, Nos. 5- 7,” would on the surface appear to teach that Jacob’s time of Trouble (JTT) is after the judgement of Ezekiel Nine.  However, I believe that the “weight of Evidence,” (5 T 675 )  clearly suggests otherwise.  The evidence reveals that JTT takes place prior the slaughter described in Ezekiel Nine or Judgement in the church.  The fact that FB 13, #7, begins with the words, “subsequently,” and #6 speaks of the four winds, Babylon, the mark of the beast, is not rock-solid proof that JTT occurs after these events in the strictest sense.  The problem, of course, is not Inspiration, but our understa...
