Are we on our way home now?
The gathering of the 144,000 is antitypical Jacobites returning to the promised land.
Isa. 54:6, 7—"For the Lord hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God. For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee." {1TG39:9.5}
Vol. 1 Timely Greetings No. 39 9
The statement, "for a small moment have I forsaken thee," being set forth in contrast to the statement, "but with great mercies will I gather thee," shows that God's forsaking her is her dispersion among the Gentiles, and that her gathering is her returning to the homeland, her inhabiting the desolate cities.—1TG39:9.5-10.1 [1947]
Who gathers the 144,000? God
Who gathers the GM? The 144,000
[Proof: 9Tr 68.4]
Who does this verse refer to? The 144,000.
Is God gathering the 144,000 now? Yes
[Proof: 4Tr:34.2, 3; 5Tr:102.3; 8Tr:47.4]
Then according to Isa. 54:6, 7 "her [[ the 144,000 while commingled with the tares ]] gathering IS her RETURNING to the homeland.…"
Since there is but one Mount Zion and one Jerusalem on earth, and since every prophet of the Bible
Jezreel Letter, No. 6 6
predicts that the gathering the people is the returning of them to the Promised land, the land which He gave to their fathers, then the first-fruits, the 144,000 are the first to return.…—6JL:6.2 [~1953]
Bro. Houteff makes the equivalence, not I. Thus, we produce the evidence that Jacob's homeward bound Journey in his sin-denoting unchanged name is taking place NOW and soon we are to meet with our (Jacob's) trouble while in possession of Assyria's Yoke according to Jer. 30:5-9 and 14Tr:17.2-29.2; 8Tr:80; 1TG47:15.2, 3; 13SC1,2:11.1, 2.
Sharing with the nations the guilt for marring the branches of His vineyard (His Kingdom), this modern Assyria must now share in the divine retribution WHILE God is taking His people back to their own land. Inferentially, WITH the fall of the "Assyrians" (the Gentiles in possession of the Promised Land), "the time of the Gentiles" is fulfilled (Luke 21:24).—14Tr:25.3
There is no longer any reason to halt between two opinions. Now we have a harmonizing proof for the first time in understanding Davidian eschatology correctly, that Jacob while on his sojourning, in his sin-denoting unchanged name, is on his way home at present. Therefore we cannot misconstrue inspired passages in order to deny any longer that Jacob's [Not Israel's] TIME of trouble "logically develops on their way home" BEFORE Ezek. 9 takes place (5T:210.1, 2).
…You can readily see that the prophet in this chapter, including this verse, is speaking of the dispersion of the tribes of Israel throughout the lands of the Gentiles. The verse that follows however, speaks of their gathering and returning to the fatherland; there where the 144,000 are eventually to stand with the Lamb; there where the church purified is to be.… {6JL:5.2}
Here you are plainly told that in the gathering TIME the servants of God are compelled first to fish His people, and since our first contact with them has been through the literature, it, therefore, fore must be the fishing.…—6JL:5.2, 3
This assures every wise Davidian that although the Fundamental Beliefs are a "sequence of events" (2TG10:30.4) they should not be regarded nor taught as though the order of their fulfillment was recorded in strict chronological order. Fundamental Belief No. 7 will take place before Fundamental Belief No. 4 is fulfilled.
AFTER Ezekiel 9 takes place in Jerusalem, in the city, then it is that the denominational name will be changed (14Tr:18). Jacob's TIME of trouble for the 144,000, while they are commingled with the tares, takes place while they are in possession of Assyria's "yoke" on their (Judah's) neck. When is this possible? This is the TIME of the "time of trouble" found in Daniel 11 (2TG7:3.1).
And Who will deliver anti-typical Jacob from the conditions described above? It will be Michael (2TG7:10.2-4) during the fall of Assyria or if you prefer the King of the North in the Promised Land "come to his end."
The "times of the Gentiles" in the latter days is fulfilled only once.
"And they [the church] shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away [from the promised land] captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled" (Luke 21:24), the time that the Gentiles go out of Jerusalem and the Israelites go in.—5Tr:111.2

Moreover, the voice of prophecy declares that: "the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king," and that "afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the Lord their God, and David their king; and shall fear the Lord and His goodness in the latter days." (Hos. 3:4, 5.) That is, ancient Israel was to be scattered among the nations and be a kingdom no more for "many days," but after the "many days," they are to return and again become a kingdom, and "seek the Lord their God and David their king." Therefore, as we are now living in the time of the returning of the 144,000, the twelve tribes, it is evident that they will at this time become a kingdom in the hand of the Lord God instead of being ruled by men through a common worldly organization.—4SC10-12:6.1 [1938]
