Proof of marking and slaying in one Event.

FIVE MEN FOLLOW THE ONE

     The men with the slaughter weapons must immediately follow the one with the writer's inkhorn.  God must separate His people if the marking is to be of any value and except the separation takes place, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit can not fall in its fullness upon the people of God.  "I asked the meaning of the shaking I had seen and was shown that it would be caused by the straight testimony [[ which is the sealing message ]] called forth by the counsel of the True Witness to the Laodiceans.  This will have its effect upon the heart of the receiver, and will lead him to exalt the standard and pour forth the straight truthSome will not bear this straight testimony.  They will rise up against it, and this is what will cause a shaking among God's people.…I asked what had made this great change.  An angel answered, 'It is the latter rain [[ again, the sealing message identified as causing the difference ]], the refreshing from the presence of the Lord, the loud cry of the third angel'." Early Writings, pages 270, 271.  It is clear that the shaking must take place before the  "Loud Cry."  The men with the slaughter weapons were already slaying BEFORE the man with the writer's inkhorn returned to report the matter that he had done as he was commanded.  See Ezekiel 9:8, 11.—1SR:37.2

Please do not, as a man of God, teach in a manner to contradict even a single reference in your explanation. If you do then you do not have the correct idea of the reference.

    The 40 days (Acts 1:3, 9) from the resurrection to the ascension are consequently typical of the period from 1844 to the fulfillment of the marking and slaying as recorded in Ezekiel 9 and Revelation 7:3-8; 14:1-5 respectively, and in Testimonies to Ministers, p. 445, Testimonies, Vol. 3, p. 266, also Early Writings, pp. 270-273.—3Tr:86.1

Slaying does not happen by itself, apart. Behold, the writings of the prophet, the marking, and the slaying happen together in the same future EVENT.

    Chapters 10 and 11 of The Revelation cover a series of events different from those of chapter 9.  Verse 13 of the eleventh chapter brings us up only to the time of the fulfillment of the marking πŸ‘‰πŸΌ and πŸ‘ˆπŸΌ slaying (Ezekiel 9) in the church, or to the commencement of the Loud Cry of the Third Angel's Message.  Rev. 9, verses 20 and 21, carries  us on to the completion of the gospel and the ingathering of the saints.  "The second woe [sixth trumpet] is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly " (Rev. 11:14)—

THE SEVENTH TRUMPET.
Revelation 11:15-19.
—5Tr:114.1}

The marking and slaying is an event. It is called the purification of the Church—at the commencement of the Loud Cry, executed by all six men during the "silence in heaven about the space of half an hour."

…It is positive that the sealing of the 144,000 is Ezekiel 9,—the separation (sifting in the church—the godly from the ungodly).…—1SR:26.1

    Since "in the Revelation all the books of the Bible meet and end" (The Acts of the Apostles, p. 585), the sealing of the servants of God (Rev. 7) must necessarily be found also in the prophecies.  In Ezekiel, chapter nine, is envisioned the marking of those who sigh and cry "for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof" (in Judah and in Israel), and the slaughter of those who do not thus sigh and cry.  And the fact that God has at no time taken the sinners from among the righteous in Judah and in Israel, shows that this prophecy of purification by slaughter has never been fulfilled.  So, therefore, as the marking is the same as the sealing, the angels' slaying is the same as the angels' hurting. {8Tr:23.3}

     This hurting and sealing which John saw, and the slaughter and marking which Ezekiel saw are again identified as one and the same: "This sealing of the servants of God is the same that was shown to Ezekiel in vision."—Testimonies to Ministers, p. 445; Testimonies, Vol. 5, p. 211; Vol. 3, p. 267.—8Tr:23.3-24.1

    Still further, the Spirit of Prophecy writes that WHEN the sealing of the 144,000 and the slaying of Ezekiel Nine is about to take place, the ministers will have betrayed their trust (5T 211)…—4SC10-12:5.1

    The ground of this most vital subject has been extensively covered in "The Shepherd's Rod," Vol. 1.  Therefore, we intend to bring out only that phase which does not appear in the first volume.  The following questions will be answered in this chapter: At the time the Lord commands the angel to seal them (the 144,000) are they found by that message in the world or in the church?  At what time are they sealed?…He who fails to respond to the heavenly summons, will be left without the seal or covering of God, and therefore must be cut off from among His people, as prefigured by the services in the typical day of atonement.

    Says the apostle: "For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God." (1 Peter 4:17.)  The fact that to the "Seventh-day Adventist" church alone has come just such a message as the one mentioned, presented to them in "The Shepherd's Rod," Vol. 1, is an additional proof that this particular church is the house of God.  This time of judgment is also called the "time of harvest."  "Let both grow together until the harvest," said Christ, "and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn." (Matt. 13:30.)  The words of our Master are in perfect harmony with the typical day of atonement, foretelling that it is a day of separating the tares from the wheat, or cutting off of the unrepentant sinners from among God's people (purification of the church).  Therefore, the harvest commences with the closing work for the church.  Said Christ: "Let both grow together until the harvest."  In Revelation 14:4, speaking of the 144,000 we read, "They are the first fruits unto God and to the Lamb."  Therefore, it is evident that in the purification or separation of the tares from the wheat in the church of God, there shall be 144,000 who have confessed their sins; and are thus made white and clean by the precious blood of Christ, for they are "the first fruits."  This is also proven by the "Spirit of Prophecy," for we read: "This sealing of the servants of God is the same that was shown to Ezekiel in vision." -- "Testimonies to Ministers," page 445.  We quote from "Testimonies for the Church," Vol. 3, p. 266: "The true people of God, who have the spirit of the work of the Lord, and the salvation of souls at heart, will ever view sin in its real, sinful character.  They will always be on the side of faithful and plain dealing with sins which easily beset the people of God.  Especially in the closing work for the church, in the sealing time of the 144,000."

    'In that day shall the branch of the Lord be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.  And it shall come to pass, That he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem.' "—"Testimonies for the Church," Vol. 5, page 476.  Thus the 144,000 are those who are sealed IN THE JUDGMENT for the church, and with THEM the judgment for the living commenced.  Therefore, they are the first fruits.

    AFTER the purification of the church and the sealing of the servants of God, then the message in the 18th chapter of Revelation shall culminate in a "loud cry:"  "Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues." (Rev. 18:4.)…—2SR:163.1; 164.1, 2; 165.2; 169.3

    The Lord commands the angel with the writer's inkhorn to "set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof"—in the church—so that when the men with the slaughter weapons start slaying, they may pass by those who have the mark. Thus, the sighing and crying since 1929 for the abominations in the church, has been the supreme evidence that we are living in the period of the sealing.—2An:33.3

Where is Jesus, what is He wearing, WHEN he gives the command to the sealing angel with the writer's inkhorn?

Revelation 8:1, speaking of the silence in Heaven for the space of half an hour, proves to be the event of the fulfillment of Ezekiel 9. At which time "shall Michael stand up." It is at this juncture that Christ puts on His garments of vengeance and surprises the hypocrites in Zion. See "Testimonies for the Church," Vol. 5, p. 690.—2SC5,6:10.2

How many things take place at the same time? Let's count them…

…Revelation 8:1, speaking of

    [1.]  the silence in Heaven for the space of half an hour, proves to be

    [2.]  πŸ‘‰πŸΌ the EVENT πŸ‘ˆπŸΌ of the fulfillment of Ezekiel 9.*

    [3.]  AT [[ not "AFTER" ]] which time "shall Michael stand up." It is at this juncture that

    [4.]  Christ puts on His garments of vengeance

and surprises the hypocrites in Zion. See "Testimonies for the Church," Vol. 5, p. 690.—2SC5,6:10.1, 2

    As these mighty works are done in the time of the "Loud Cry of the Third Angel's Message," the purification, therefore, incontrovertibly takes place at the commencement of the "Loud Cry."  And from this it follows as a logical necessity that Ezekiel's prophecy of marking and slaying must contain the announcement of the purification of the church. {1Tr:17.3}

     Continuing to behold in vision the cherubim and the glory of God's throne, the prophet saw the Lord COME to the threshold of the house (church), and as He gave charge to His angel who was "clothed with linen" and who "had the writer's inkhorn by his side," Ezekiel heard Him COMMAND the man: "Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.—1Tr:17.3, 4

    Comparing both reports, each is seen to be of a different event: At the first report, the Lord was on "the threshold of the house" on earth (Ezek. 9:3); at the second, He was in the heavenly sanctuary.—1Tr:21.2

The fulfillment of Ezek. 9:3 happens when Jesus with the cherubim visit the church during the "silence in heaven about the space of half an hour" after "when He [Jesus] had opened the seventh seal."

Tract 3 says:

     Being the one shining example of a church never guilty of thwarting or trying to thwart in any way her members in their exercise of their inalienable right to investigate and to accept for themselves whatever their conscience bid them investigate and accept, she [[ "the Millerite church" ]] alone contributed nothing to the grievous condition calling forth the scripture: "Hear the Word of the Lord, ye that tremble at His word; your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for My name's sake, said, Let the Lord be glorified: but He shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed" (Isa. 66:5) in the

SEPARATION of the Tares
 From Among the Wheat. {3Tr:63.1}

     The end of the period in which the wheat and the tares are commingled is the TIME of the closing work for the Laodicean church (the last of the seven churches). This work is identified by the church's founder as the marking in Ezekiel 9, the sealing of spiritual Israel, the 144,000. (See Testimonies to Ministers, p. 445 and Testimonies, Vol. 3, p. 266; Vol. 5, p. 211.) And this identification is conclusively substantiated by the fact, as herein seen, that Ezekiel's prophecy is a SEPERATION of two classes—those who "sigh and cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof" (the church) and those who do not. And as the former are delivered while the latter fall under the slaughter weapons of the angels, there is clearly seen a complete separation of the tares from among the wheat in the

TIME of Harvest.—3Tr:63.1, 2

Did you observe that?

The title is telling you the point that must be sustained in the body. So that whatever you find in the body that is what must happen AT that TIME.

And as if that would be insufficient the point comes out again a few pages later. Of course, all of this is considered "seemingly weak and insufficient" when they have buried the weight of evidence and what is contrary to their cherished erroneous opinion. To those who appreciate the text without adding nor subtracting from it find it beautiful and brilliant. Again it says:

…But

Who Are the Reapers? {3Tr:66.2}

     "The reapers are the angels" who "shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just." Matt. 13:39, 49. These angels are not those who shall "come" with Christ at His second coming, but rather those whom He "shall send forth." They are like the three angels of Revelation 14:6-11. Indeed, the third angel "is to select the wheat from the tares and seal, or bind, the wheat for the heavenly garner."—Early Writings, p. 118. Therefore the angels, the reapers, whom Christ sends forth, include πŸ‘‰πŸΌπŸ‘‰πŸΌπŸ‘‰πŸΌ BOTH πŸ‘ˆπŸΌπŸ‘ˆπŸΌπŸ‘ˆπŸΌ him who does THE SEALING, or binding, and those who follow on to do the destroying (Ezek. 9:2, 5, 6), first in the church, then in the world. Thus is the

SEPARATION in Two Sections.—3Tr:66.2, 3

Who is the Author in all of the texts we have been reading by the grace of God, in the Name of the Lord, and by the Spirit of Truth?

Is the falling of the "latter rain" a part of the reaping EVENT or does reaping take place after the "latter rain" (of truth) falls upon "every one grass in the field" (Zec. 10:1)?

Are we ready to confess Jesus Christ on these points or are we prepared to deny Him the author and finisher of our faith?

This is just 🧨πŸ”₯ DYNAMITE πŸ”₯🧨

And there is still more…

Pay close attention Saints of God. You must resist the urge to divorce, to separate what God has joined together. If you do then you are none of His. You will be found guilty of wrongly dividing the word of truth which gives reason for great shame. Again Tract 3, please…

     This being the dreadful experience of the tares in Babylon, in the second section of the harvest, there must, as a type, be a similar and precedent experience for the tares in the Laodicean church, in the first section of the harvest, a parallel which shows conclusively that

The Church Is Not Babylon. {3Tr:71.1}

     The reason that the church is figuratively not "Babylon" is that it is called Jerusalem (Ezek. 9:4, 8), and from among the good therein, the wicked (the tares) are destroyed, taken out, by THE SIX MEN with the slaughter weapons (Ezek. 9:6-9), and then afterward the good (the wheat) are gathered in "the barn;" while from among the wicked in Babylon, the just ("My people") are called out and gathered into the barn, and then the seven angels pour out the seven last plagues, and the remaining wicked are destroyed. {3Tr:71.2}

     Thus in the first section of the harvest, the separation in the church, the wicked are destroyed by SIX MEN with slaughter weapons, before the good are taken out; and in the second section, the separation among the churches in Babylon, the wicked are destroyed by seven angels with the seven last plagues, after the good are taken out. There are therefore two separations and two fruits: the former gives the first fruits, the 144,000, who are not defiled with women (Rev. 14:4). That is, they are those whom the sealing message finds in the church of God, not in the heathen churches. And the second gives the second fruits, the great multitude from all nations, some of whom also may be undefiled with women—heathen churches.—3Tr:71.1-3

Just like I've stated in my previous explanations of my analysis of the FACTS contained in the SRod message which has been denied by the leading men, I've proven conclusively that there is

    [1.]  "The sealing" message
    [2.]  "the sealing" Time
    [3.]  "the sealing" angel the EVENT

Let them now explain for us based upon their erroneous belief how can "six men" be involved in the separation of the wheat and tares and one man among them NOT be the angel with the writer's inkhorn by his side who sets "a special seal" upon the righteous in the TIME of harvest?

If we believe all that the prophets have written it would make sense to believe that in the EVENT of the SEPARATION, after the sealing angel seals the small number compared to those who are to be slain, that he would participate in the slaughtering process AT that TIME. So that when that angel is done with sealing and slaying he reports back to Jesus to say, "I have done as thou has commanded me."

Do you need proof of this inspired thought? It's right there in the Word of God. See Ezek. 9:2.

  Eze 9:2—And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and EVERY man a slaughter weapon IN HIS HAND; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer's inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brasen altar."

"…the wicked are destroyed by SIX MEN with slaughter weapons,…"—3Tr:71.3

How many "men" does Inspiration declare come to do the separation?
And one among them has what at the time of the fulfillment of Ezek. 9?
Where are they all present when the command is given to the sealing angel?

Do not now come with your "sorceries" (Mal. 3:5) through the power of Satan to alter the Word of God. You are trying to, if possible, deceive the very Elect. You do not "honor God by" sustaining "erroneous opinions." (GC:597.2) You are called by the spirit and power of Elijah to forsake these.

     It is better for all of us to acknowledge our failures than to evade the Truth, for it is the Truth that shall make us free.—2TG17:8.3

Error is bondage in juxtaposition to freedom.

What has been provided to you in tract 3 the same inspired interpretation can be found in tract 5. The same indisputable evidence proves that 1Tr:38.2 was not written so plainly for us to turn around and deny its implication. "All-important, therefore, is the need that the student of the truth fortify himself with all honesty and humility" (5Tr:7.1) in order to rightly understand it. May we break free from the spell of the sorcerers today.

Tract 5:

     (4)    And, finally, the only revelation pertaining to and coming "at a year," and preparing the four angels "for to slay the third part of men" is says the Lord, "the year of My redeemed." Isa. 63:4.  And this "year" at which His people are redeemed is, of course, the TIME of the sealing and of the deliverance of the 144,000,—those who are redeemed who escape the slaughter decreed in Ezekiel 9.  Of these, the Lord says: "I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations,...to the isles afar off, that have not heard My fame, neither have seen My glory; and they shall declare My glory among the Gentiles. And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the Lord out of all nations…to My holy mountain Jerusalem,…in a clean vessel into the house of the Lord." Isa. 66:19, 20. {5Tr:88.1}

The same as page 74.1, 2

    VERSE 10, third clause. "And their power was to hurt men five months." {5Tr:74.1}

    The fact, too, that the trumpets are figurative, is another evidence that these five months are figurative time.  But why should this period in which the locusts, the Christians, have power to torment men be limited to "five months"?  It will be noted that the 144,000 are called the "first-fruits," denoting that they are sealed AT the beginning of "the harvest"—the COMMENCEMENT of the TIME to separate "the tares" from "the wheat."  To the parable of the "harvest," then, we must go for the full explanation of the "five months" period.—5Tr:74.1, 2

What will they say about this evidence?
Will we ignore this also and receive a lie instead?

This is just overwhelming and "only to the righteous (the penitent) is given the gift of understanding it" (2TG43:31.2).

Amen.

The seal of God is not placed on anyone who has one unconfessed sin against their name.  Thus it can only, therefore, be placed at the time that we have reached our Christian maturity and have decided once and for all to give everything to the Lord and die to self.  It has to be placed on our foreheads at the end of probationary time for the church and at the beginning of the harvest.

Excellent observation.

And YET it is our duty to inform the brethren with cherished erroneous ideas that there is no conflict / contradiction / conflating with

    Being sealed in Christ "with that Holy Spirit of promise," after having "heard the word of truth" (Eph. 1:13; 4:30), the Christian, consequently, is sealed by Present Truth. {7SC7-12:21.3}

    Hence the Sabbath, the seal of the ten-commandment law, plus the judgment of the dead, plus all kindred truths since 1844, along with all previously revealed truth, in addition now to the message of the hour, Present Truth,—all together the whole Truth,—are THE seal today.—7SC7-12:21.3, 4

When Seventh-day Adventists hear and obey the present truth for today they are sealed to be saved for the special resurrection. However, that is not what is going to take place when AT the COMMENCEMENT of the harvest TIME an angel receives the command AT the threshold of the house to go and set a mark upon those that he must find sighing and crying. Did you notice that the Bible never said that the angel comes to cause 144,000 to sigh and cry, but that he finds them in that condition at the time he is sent already?

If the sealing angel, prophetically, is not the cause then what is the cause?

And this act cannot begin before the 7th seal is open and the half an hour silence in heaven began. All 144,000 members of the SDA Church must be doing this work collectively at the same time and being eligible (1TG7) for the mark.

The same holds true when we examine 4BC:1161.4-6. Paragraph 4, 5 is not the same as 6 and vice versa.

So that although 1SR:22.2 apparently seems to say one thing, when finally combined with the writer's point of view and with other seemingly opposing statements on the surface it just only appears differently yet again starting in 1SR:28. All this amounts to that we have

1.  "the message of the sealing" (2SR:165.3)

and we have

2.  "The event" (2SC5,6:10.2) when the seal is placed upon the foreheads of the 144,000 by six angels with slaughtering weapons come and one among them with a writer's inkhorn by his side.

Add this evidence to the growing list of the marking and slaying, 3Tr:86.1.

     The 40 days (Acts 1:3, 9) from the resurrection to the ascension are consequently typical of the period from 1844 to the fulfillment of the marking πŸ‘‰πŸΌ and πŸ‘ˆπŸΌ slaying as recorded in Ezekiel 9 and Revelation 7:3-8; 14:1-5 respectively, and in Testimonies to Ministers, p. 445, Testimonies, Vol. 3, p. 266, also Early Writings, pp. 270-273.—3Tr:86.1

In the first edition, these two paragraphs are together.

     The forty days from the resurrection to the ascension are symbolical of the period from 1844 to the FULFILLMENT of Ezekiel Nine and Revelation 7:3-8; 14:1-5. See "Testimonies to Ministers," p. 445; "Testimonies for the Church," Vol. 3, p. 268; "Early Writings," pp. 270-3. After the 144,000 are sealed, and the tares put away

3 Tract  (1st Ed.) 58

from among them, they then being separate from the influence of the world as were the 120, the Holy Ghost will fall upon them in a greater measure than it fell at Pentacost. This is represented by the fire which "the man with the writer's inkhorn" is to "scatter over the city," the church. (Ezek. 10:2; also Rev. 8:5.)—3Tr34:58.2

Let's go to 2Tr:22.2

But before we turn to 2Tr:22.2 let us examine a monumental doctrine established by Bro. Houteff.

What is the difference between

This

     The 40 days (Acts 1:3, 9) from the resurrection to the ascension are consequently typical of the period from 1844 to the fulfillment of the marking πŸ‘‰πŸΌ and πŸ‘ˆπŸΌ slaying as recorded in Ezekiel 9…—3Tr:86.1  (3rd Ed.)

and

This

     The forty days from the resurrection to the ascension are symbolical of the period from 1844 to the FULFILLMENT of Ezekiel Nine…—3Tr34:58.2  (1st Ed.)

In terms of carrying the same thought, nothing. We can read a few different words and the spelling of numbers. Then how ingenious for some Davidians to try to separate the marking from the slaying? Clearly, by observing "it is written" in the text the prophet's intention is to be understood. In the first edition of Tract 3 (1934) he wrote:

     The forty days from the resurrection to the ascension are symbolical of the period from 1844 to the FULFILLMENT of Ezekiel Nine…—3Tr34:58.2  (1st Ed.)

And in the 3rd edition published in 1942 eight advanced years later he wrote again:

     The 40 days (Acts 1:3, 9) from the resurrection to the ascension are consequently typical of the period from 1844 to the fulfillment of the marking πŸ‘‰πŸΌ and πŸ‘ˆπŸΌ slaying as recorded in Ezekiel 9—3Tr:86.1

VTH added, "…the marking πŸ‘‰πŸΌ and πŸ‘ˆπŸΌ slaying as recorded in…," count them seven words to let us know how Ezek. 9 is fulfilled, when Ezek. 9 is fulfilled and what happens when Ezek. 9 is fulfilled.

What did the Holy Spirit of truth under His penmen Bro. Houteff wanted us to understand?

That the fulfillment of Ezekiel 9 the EVENT involves the marking πŸ‘‰πŸΌ and πŸ‘ˆπŸΌ slaying. The marking of the 144,000 AT that TIME and the slaying of those who are left without the mark AT that TIME. Brethren, YOU CAN READ what I'm emphasizing this is not my understanding of making up unicorns and leprechauns. Imagine the blasphemy against the Spirit of Truth of crediting what He has written ONLY and limiting it to "your understanding" attempting to annul "a thus saith the Lord God." That is an abomination and when you hear it denounce it immediately. We cannot afford to parle with a contrary spirit. It is a shame that I have to go to such lengths to bring understanding to what is plain and simple to be understood. Of course, ONLY to the penitent, the righteous, "is given the gift of understanding it (Dan. 12:10)." (2TG43:31.2.) All cherished, erroneous ideas GOT TO GO!

Ahhh…what was I thinking? Let's now add the cherry on top. Let's now READ 2Tr:22.2

Let's also for good measure include the 1st paragraph.

     From the evidences adduced, the fact towers forth that the purification takes place before the work of the gospel is finished in any part of the world: for those who "escape" the slaughter are sent to "bring all [their] brethren for an offering unto the Lord out of all nations."  Necessarily therefore, the consummation of this "special; work of purification" precedes the commencement of "The Loud Cry."  Doubly conclusive proof of this is that the Spirit of Prophecy states that "the true people of God, who have the spirit of the work of the Lord,...will always be on the side of faithful and plain dealing with sins.... Especially in the closing work for the church, in the sealing time of the one hundred and forty-four thousand...."  This special work of purification πŸ‘‰πŸΌ and πŸ‘ˆπŸΌ "sealing of the servants of God is the same that was shown to Ezekiel in vision." -- Testimonies, Vol. 3, p. 266; Testimonies to Ministers, p. 445. {2Tr:22.1}

   Ezekiel's vision discloses that those who "sigh and cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof" (the church) are marked, or sealed, and that the men with the "slaughter weapons" THEN "slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children and women" who have not the mark.  The purification of the church, therefore, is a separation of the sinners from the true people of God.  At the TIME of its fulfillment, the immediate future, the 144,000 RECEIVE the seal, or mark, escape the slaughter, become the "servants of God," and go forth unto the nations to finish the work.  This makes them the "first-fruits" of the living who are to be translated, and "all their brethren" whom they bring in (the "great multitude" of Revelation 7, verse 9), the second fruits of the living who are to be translated: for where there are no second fruits, there can be no first. (For further light on this subject, READ Tract No. 1, Pre-"Eleventh Hour" Extra!.)—2Tr:22.1, 2

All this circles back to Tract 1 which is under attack by cherished, erroneous ideas held by Davidians for donkey years. Read this "in light of the entire message" like a prominent sister loves to say. Now we have to labor and go beyond our words and make it a reality and believe "it is written."

     After the sighing and crying ones were marked (which is NOT TO BE understood as being CONSUMMATED in its entirety worldwide BEFORE the slaying follows anywhere), the slaughter completed, and the matter reported, the Lord "spake unto the man clothed with linen, and said, Go in between the wheels even under the cherub, and fill thine hand with coals of fire from between the cherubims, and scatter them over the city." Ezek. 10:2.—1Tr:38.2

     As the five wise virgins are the 144,000 (Rev. 14:4), we see that the cry for them to awake is the same as Isa. 52:1: which makes the time of the cry the same as "the sealing time of the 144,000" (3 T 266), and their meeting the bridegroom the same as Ezek. 9. Then after the close of probation and after the pouring of the plagues, He will come and take His own, not to witness the marriage but to eat the marriage supper after the ceremony is performed.—1SC10:9.12

Yet again another reference that places the proximity of the marking and the slaying closer together than we had once believed. It is an unexpected EVENT for the SDA Church when six men, not five, come to execute Ezek. 9.

     Ques. "Will those who are now accepting the S.D.A. faith during this sealing time be among the 144,000, or fall in the slaughter of Ezekiel 9?" {1SC11,12:9.6}

     Ans. All that are found members of the church at the fulfillment of Ezekiel Nine will either receive the seal and be of the 144,000, or else be left without and fall under the "slaughter weapons" of the "five men." Only those who "sigh and cry for all the abominations" in the church will escape from the destruction.—1SC11,12:9.6, 7

Notice it is AT not before that the seal described in Ezek. 9 is received. The condition or the eligibility (1TG7) to receive the seal must be obtained before.

Thus far I have shared with you for the marking and slaying taking place at the same EVENT

It is better for all of us to acknowledge our failures than to evade the Truth, for it is the Truth that shall make us free.—2TG17:8.3

How many visits are interpreted in Ezekiel's vision according to Tract 1? There are two visits. One to Ezekiel to bring him a [sealing] message to proclaim first to the church and the following VISIT to execute what is contained in that message first for the church.

Was the first visit to the threshold of the house with the cherubim or the second?

How many angels came with Him?

What is this occasion called and which visit is this?

Where is Jesus, what is he wearing, WHEN He commands the sealing angel (one of the SIX MEN: 3Tr:71.2, 3) at the threshold of the house?

This reference needs to be added to the list of those passages you deny have evidence for the marking and slaying happening in the same EVENT and to be discussed.

Observe keenly what's involved and WHEN it is involved:

     In GRAPHIC demonstration that He will come to earth WITH all His angels to execute judgment upon the living, the Lord revealed Himself prophetically to Ezekiel as being brought enthroned to earth by four living creatures just BEFORE the slaughter of the hypocrites in the church takes place. And as each of the living creatures has the face of a lion, the face of a calf, the face of a man, and the face of an eagle (Ezek. 1:10),—the same judicial insignia as have the beasts who are before the throne in the heavenly sanctuary (Rev. 4:7) in the time of the judgment of the dead,—and as they descend to earth, they thereby symbolically show that the work of the mediatorial-judicial throne which convenes and presides over the judgment of the dead is extended to earth. {3Tr:46.3}

     This extension, so far as we are able to know now, must take place πŸ‘‰πŸΌπŸ‘‰πŸΌπŸ‘‰πŸΌ AT πŸ‘ˆπŸΌπŸ‘ˆπŸΌπŸ‘ˆπŸΌ the opening of the seventh seal (Rev. 8:1), for at that time the celestial voices, which opened the judgment of the dead, cease in the heavenly sanctuary and begin, AFTER the half hour's silence, to sound on earth. In other words, just as in heaven at the opening of the judgment of the dead, there were "lightnings and thunderings and voices" (Rev. 4:5), likewise on earth AT the opening of the "judgment of the living," there are "voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake." Rev. 8:5. {3Tr:47.1}

     With the judgment of the dead, however, the work of separation takes place in the books in the heavenly sanctuary; whereas with the judgment of the living, the separation takes place among the people in the church as well as among their names in the books in the heavenly sanctuary, thus showing that both sanctuaries will finally be cleansed. {3Tr:47.2}

     Inescapably, therefore, the Lord's COMING to His temple (Mal. 3:1-3), His COMING with all His angels (Matt. 25), and His COMING enthroned above the living creatures (Ezek. 1),—all three representing the same EVENT as has been shown,—take place AT the BEGINNING of the judgment of the living: the time in which the judicial activities of the heavenly sanctuary extend to the earthly sanctuary—the church.—3Tr:46.3-47.3

All false doctrines with their Soothsayers don't have a prayer in hell to survive the cleaning of doctrinal error among us.

    Since this fearsome truth, as here revealed, finds its counterpart in Christ's parable of the wheat and the tares, the parables must necessarily therefore teach the investigative

Judgment Among the Living.—3Tr:42.1

So what do you expect to find AFTER that heading?

If we are following the point of view of the writer and not our own imaginations we can expect to find information concerning the investigative judgment of the living.

So now read again

    As the cleansings called for in the parables and in Malachi's prophecy have never taken place, the investigative judgment of the living is obviously, then, yet future [[ did not happen in 1929/1930 ]]. This investigative work is therefore OCCASIONED by the work of separation in the earthly sanctuary (church), as brought to view also in Ezekiel 9:—3Tr:43.3

Not only is the investigation (the bookwork) taking place AFTER Jesus returns to heaven to resume the iJOL, but the work of separation is ALSO revealed in Ezek. 9, yes?

Then Bro. Houteff quotes vs. 2-6.

Now read his interpretation which involves the subheading "Judgment Among the Living":

    Here the people are shown to be in a mixed state (tares and wheat commingled), with the TIME just ahead of them WHEN on the one hand those who have sighed and cried for the abominations in their midst shall receive the mark of deliverance, while on the other hand those who have not sighed and cried shall be left without the mark, to perish (in their sins) under the angels' slaughter weapons. {3Tr:44.3}

    From this separation—the one in the church—come forth the first fruits.
—3Tr:44.3-45.1

Unmistakeable, and as plain as one can read if we are willing to put away our preconceived ideas that the marking and the slaying both happen in the same EVENT of the judgment FOR the living.

Of course, this tract 3 has the same repeated thought that is contained in 1Tr:17.3, 4; 38.2; 12.2.

("Anyone with false doctrines cannot and is incapable [neutralized] of helping anyone else in false doctrine") in Bro. Houteff's OWN words:

    So before a person can CLIMB the ladder of Truth, he must first of all FREE HIMSELF from ERRONEOUS THEORIES, which keep him bound in darkness.  And to loose himself from such weights of error so as to reach the top step of the ladder of Truth, he must carefully investigate and "prove all things" in

Open-Mindedness.

   "Do not read the Word in the light of FORMER opinions; but, with a mind free from prejudice, search it carefully and prayerfully.  If, as you read conviction comes, and you see that your cherished opinions are not in harmony with the Word, do not try to make the Word fit these opinions.  Make your opinions fit the Word.  Do not allow what you have believed or practiced in the past to control your understanding."—Messages to Young People, p. 260.

    This prime necessity urgently confronts those who have been disposed to accept, as unquestionable Bible truths, THEORIES which are the results of

Adding TO and TAKING From the Scriptures.

   Any explanation of a prophecy which ADDS to or takes from any part of relevant scripture in order to harmonize the interpretation, can ONLY be false. When the Spirit of God interprets the Scriptures, He does not in any way need to alter any part of Them in order to make the explanation fit that which is being unfolded.  When, moreover, the true interpretation of a prophecy is made, it always contains a lesson of present truth "adapted to the necessities of God's people" (The Great Controversy, p. 609) at the time the scripture is revealed.—5Tr:6

So let's briefly count again all the references from just the first three tracts that are found in harmony with each other constituting, contributing, and increasing the weight of evidence.
