the Ten Virgins, Behold (d)
Behold, the Bridegroom is Here!
Zep 1:12—And it
shall come to pass at that time, that
I will search Jerusalem with candles, and punish the men that are
settled on their lees: that say in their heart, The LORD will not do good,
neither will he do evil.
Fourteen time the
phrase “Behold, the Bridegroom cometh” and arranged according to the
progression of light.
"While the bridegroom
tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegrroom
cometh; go ye out to meet him. THEN all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps." Note that they "slumbered and
slept" before the cry was made. In the summer of 1844, midway between the
time when it was first thought that the 2300 days would end (on March 21), and
the second date (October 22 of the same year), this period they applied as
being the "tarrying time." But
mark that the "cry" had been going on for some years (the message by
Miller), and the tarrying time was applied at its close after they had
discovered their miscalculation, which is contrary to a proper application
of the parable; for according to
the parable
they tarried before the cry was made.
Therefore, the tarrying TIME must be the judgment
for the dead, BEFORE the bridegroom came to the investigation
of the living, in which time the "ten virgins" developed. So, that is the time in which they all
slumbered and slept. This application is
also in perfect harmony with the message to the Laodiceans. (See Rev. 3:14-19;
Isa. 52:1, 2.)—2SR:181.3
Did Jesus come to the investigation of the living in 1929?
The
twelfth hour on the dial, to the left, represents sunrise and on the right,
sunset; the sixth hour in the light part, noon, and six in the dark part,
midnight. The message at the
sixth hour by Miller is called the Midnight cry (see "Early
Writings," p. 277.) because it corresponds with that of Enoch. Said Jesus: "And at midnight there was a
cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh: go ye out to meet
him." (Matt. 25:6.) The sixth hour
in the light part stands also as noon when the sun is in its full
strength. The Bible began to rise at the
twelfth hour and when the message by Miller was preached, represented by the
sixth hour call, both Old and New Testaments had been compiled and published;
thus it also denotes mid-day.—2SR:238.2 (1932)
Was William Miller’s message at the 6th
parabolical hour the investigative Judgement of the dead?
Question:
"I am unable to reconcile the teaching that Ezekiel 9 removes the
unconverted (the five foolish virgins) from the church at the beginning
of the Loud Cry, with the parable of the ten virgins which preserves the wise
and the foolish together until the Lord's coming." {1SC10:9.10}
Answer:
The parable of the ten virgins cannot preserve the virgins until the Lord's
coming, but rather up to some time before the final close of probation, for,
note more carefully what the scripture saith: "And they that were ready
went in with Him to the marriage: and the door was shut." (Matt. 25:10.)
The words "to the marriage" denote that the call was made and the
door was shut before the marriage took place, and as Christ is married or
crowned at the close of human probation (see The Great Controversy, 426, 427),
and before the seven last plagues are poured out, it proves that the call,
"Behold the Bridegroom cometh," is not the coming of
Christ in the clouds when He receives His people "unto
Himself" (John 14:3), but rather His COMING to the
sanctuary for the judgment of the living. {1SC10:9.11}
As the five wise
virgins are the 144,000 (Rev. 14:4), we see that the cry for them to awake
is the same as Isa. 52:1: which makes the time of the cry the
same as "the sealing time of the 144,000" (3 T 266), and
their meeting the bridegroom the same as Ezek. 9. Then after the close of
probation and after the pouring of the plagues, He will come and take His own,
not to witness the marriage but to eat the marriage supper after the ceremony
is performed.—1SC10:9.10-12 (1935)
WHEN does VTH apply the fulfillment of Isa. 52:1 to
the past in 1929 or is it still future? (See: 1SR:126.2; 219.1)
Wherever this fits place it:
What
is the marriage spoken of in "Christ's Object Lessons," p. 307 and in
"The Great Controversy," p. 427?
In one instance, it is said to be "the union of humanity with
divinity." In another instance, it
is called "the reception by Christ of His kingdom." In still another, it is said that "The
marriage takes place in heaven, while they are upon the earth," waiting
"for their Lord when He will return from the wedding." Again, the words, "Behold the
Bridegroom cometh," are applied to His coming to the temple for
the investigative judgment. Please clear
this subject for me. {6SC1-6:13.6}
It is true that the marriage of Christ is a
"union of humanity with Divinity"; but it is also "the reception
by Christ of His Kingdom," because humanity IS The Kingdom. Therefore, WHEN He receives His
kingdom, He unites humanity with Divinity.—6SC1-6:13.6, 9 (1940)
What is the marriage spoken of in Christ's
Object Lessons, p. 307, and in The Great Controversy, p. 426? In one instance, it is said to be "the
union of humanity with divinity;" in another, "the reception by
Christ of His kingdom;" in still another, it is said that the marriage
"takes place in heaven, while the saints are upon the earth" waiting
"for their Lord, when He will return from the wedding;" again, the
words, "Behold, the Bridegroom cometh," are applied to
His coming to the "temple" from the investigative judgment. Will you please clear this complex subject
for me? {9SC1-12:14.11}
So, while it is
true that the marriage of Christ is a "union of humanity with
divinity," it is true also that the marriage is "the reception of His
kingdom," for humanity makes up the Kingdom. Therefore, the marriage is equivalent to the
coronation; the Kingdom itself, to the city or bride; and the guests, to the
saints or subjects of the Kingdom. From
this we see that WHEN Christ receives His Kingdom, He indeed will
unite humanity with divinity.—9SC1-12:14.11, 15.1 (1943)
Wherever this fits place it:
Matt. 25:1-13—"Then shall the Kingdom of Heaven be
likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the
Bridegroom. And five of them were wise,
and five were foolish. They that were
foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: but the wise took oil in
their vessels with their lamps. While
the Bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold,
the Bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet Him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed
their lamps. And the foolish said unto
the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest
there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy
for yourselves. And while they went to
buy, the Bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with Him to the
marriage: and the door was shut.
Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But He answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the
Son of man cometh." {11SC3:7.1}
Here is
represented a church which believes that the Bridegroom is coming, believes in
the second coming of Christ. In 1844 the
ten virgins went into their place of waiting for His coming, five of whom took
no oil with them while the other five took extra oil with them. The lamps aptly symbolize the heart, and it
is one's belief in Truth that lights up the heart. Yes, it is Truth which must be indited by the
Holy Spirit that gives light. {11SC3:8.1}
The message which
was meat in due season in 1844 was the Truth Sister White brought—the
Judgment for the Dead—and it was this message which was represented by the
oil that was in the lamps when the ten virgins first went in waiting for the
Bridegroom to come. The oil that was
in the vessels of the five wise virgins must represent an additional Truth, something other than
what was in the lamps. It is this
additional Truth which is to supplement the 1844 Truth and thus supply
sufficient light to the time of the coming of the Bridegroom. And what must this additional Truth be?—It
must be the truth of the Judgment for the Living, the last message. {11SC3:8.2}
In this parable
is seen great confusion WHEN at last the virgins, all ten of them, wake up and
learn for a certainty that the Bridegroom is on His way. Now they all find
themselves in need of light to illuminate the prevailing darkness about them
and to light their way to meet the Bridegroom.
But to the utter and painful realization of the five foolish virgins who
had failed to procure extra oil (truth of the Judgment for the Living) as the
five wise did when it was time to do so are now faced with terrible
darkness. Frantically they make their
pitiful appeal to the five wise virgins that they share their oil with them.
{11SC3:9.1}
Now they are
fully awake to the fact that they had been mistaken in their belief that the
message of the Judgment for the Dead was sufficient Truth to carry them to the
end. {11SC3:9.2}
Do you not see
that the old Spirit of Prophecy should have already been in our hearts (lamps),
and in order to go through successfully to the coming of the Bridegroom we
must also have in our possession and readily accessible to us the
"additional message" mentioned in Early Writings, p. 277, the
"extra oil," the truth of the Judgment for the Living, the great and
dreadful day of the Lord?—11SC3:7.1-9.3 (1944)
Matt. 25:5, 6—"While the Bridegroom tarried, they all
slumbered and slept. And at midnight
there was a cry made, Behold, the Bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet
Him." {11SC12:13.1}
The cry to meet
the Bridegroom comes AFTER the time of tarrying. {11SC12:13.2}
Matt. 25:7-12—"Then all those virgins arose, and
trimmed their lamps. And the foolish
said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest
there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy
for yourselves. And while they went to
buy, the Bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with Him to the
marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward
came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But He answered and said, Verily I say unto
you, I know you not." {11SC12:13.3}
An announcement
is made that the Bridegroom cometh. All
the virgins are wakened by it. If
the announcement were to come from the General Conference you know that all the
members would fill their vessels with oil and all would have it. The facts are, though, that the cry does not
come from there. {11SC12:13.4}
All trimmed their
lamps, we are told. What is the
implication in that? We may conclude
that while the cry goes out the people trim their lamps with the oil that is in
them. In other words, they begin to
apply their message to the change in circumstances OR events. But what happens? The lamps go out. That indicates that what we had expected to
happen does not happen; instead, something else takes place. {11SC12:14.1}
Seventh-day
Adventists are expecting the war of Armageddon to take place next. WHEN they see something
different come instead they will become confused. They will then realize that the oil in their
lamps (the Judgment of the Dead message) is not sufficient to guide them
through this situation. Then they will
long for the extra oil (additional light—the message of the Judgment for the
Living) which had previously been available to them but they had failed to
obtain it. Thus feeling their urgent
need of it, they will demand it from those who have it. But it will be too late. By the time they arrive at the Bridegroom's
chamber, they find that He has already entered and closed the door. They knock; they plead, thinking He will
surely open the door and welcome them inside.
But instead, what do they hear Him say?—"Verily, I say unto you, I
know you not." And the door remains
shut. Probation has closed for them.
{11SC12:14.2}
Let us now identify
the different personalities brought in.
Here is a bridegroom. But where
is the bride? And who are the virgins? The cry was, "Behold, the Bridegroom
cometh." This cry was not to the
bride but to the virgins. The virgins
can only represent the guests. Who is the bride? Let us turn to Revelation 21 for help in
identifying who is the bride:—11SC12:13.1-15.1
(1946)
What “change in circumstances or events” did the SDA
church observe in 1929 AFTER the alleged cry is made to confuse all ten virgins
at the same time? How can the second sentence of 11SC12:14.2 be logically
written in future tense “will become” if the cry already took place 17 years
ago?
Matt. 25:1-8—Then [while the unfaithful servant is
being cut asunder Matt. 24:51] shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto
ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the
Bridegroom. And five of them were
wise, and five were foolish. They
that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: but
the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the Bridegroom tarried, they
all slumbered and slept. And at
midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the Bridegroom
cometh; go ye out to meet Him.
Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give
us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. {2TG11:11.4}
Here is Truth
that should not be lightly passed by any: The oil can but represent revealed
prophetic Truth, Truth that lightens the path ahead. Oil in a vessel, before being put into a
lamp, however, cannot lighten the path of anyone. Hence the oil in the vessels of the five
virgins must represent an extra supply, extra Truth, that came to them DURING
the period of slumber and sleep. For WHEN
the call was made, "Behold the Bridegroom cometh," all ten
virgins found the oil in their lamps consumed. The vessels of the wise, however were
full and so they could refill their lamps. In contrast, the foolish found that not only were their lamps out, but their vessels were
empty, too. They then went to obtain the
oil, but it did them no good, for they found the door closed to them. They had been satisfied with what they had in
their lamps, presuming that there was no need for more. Contrary to their assumption though DURING
the period of slumber and sleep they suddenly saw their lamps go out. Finding themselves in spiritual darkness and
confusion they were then anxious to get oil.—2TG11:11.4-12.1 (1947)
If you are desperate to take the 2nd “during” in
the above paragraph to overturn the implication of the first “during” please
explain for the 2nd “during” how can anyone see anything while
they “slumber and sleep”?
As the oil [[ NOT
the cry ]] was available to all ten virgins, the parable makes clear that the
message [[ the oil NOT the cry ]] of
the judgment of the living is brought to the Church, but that only half
the virgins availed themselves of it. When
[[1]] the judgment of the living begins AND [[2]] the cry is made, "Behold, the
Bridegroom cometh: go ye out to meet Him," they will ALL arise,
but only half of them will gain admittance.
The other half will have sinned against the Holy Spirit, will have
rejected His Truth! Consequently when
they knock on the door, the Bridegroom's answer will be, "I never knew
you." What foolishness! and what a disappointment that will be!
{2TG11:13.2} (1947)
Can a “cry” be brought or is it heard? Is the cry the oil
and the oil the cry? When the message [extra oil] comes is that the Cry? Can a
“Cry” be stored in vessels? Is the oil FIRST stored in vessels before
the cry is made?
Matt. 25:1-12—Then shall the Kingdom of heaven be likened
unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the
Bridegroom. And five of them were wise,
and five were foolish. They that were
foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: but the wise took
oil in their vessels with their lamps.
While the Bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold,
the Bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet Him. Then all those virgins arose, and
trimmed their lamps.
Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to
us. But He answered and said, Verily I
say unto you, I know you not. {2TG44:38.6}
In this parable
it is seen that the church is likened to ten virgins, five of whom do
not avail themselves of extra oil—special Truth for this time, that is, these
five do not give heed to the truth of the Judgment of the living, the
separation or purification of the church.
When the cry is made, "Behold, the Bridegroom
cometh; go ye out to meet Him," all ten
virgins see
that the light of their lamps is going out;
they see that the message of the Judgment of the dead is passing. Quickly then, the five wise virgins refill
their lamps with the extra oil which they have stored in their vessels, and
go on to meet the Bridegroom. But the
five foolish virgins, those who thought there was no need for extra oil, no
need for an extra message, the message of the Judgment of the living,
find themselves in gross darkness. Yes,
they find themselves without the light which the message of the Judgment
of the living unfolds. Upon
discovering their foolish neglect, they rush to obtain oil, light on the
subject, but in the meantime the door has been shut (probationary time for the
virgins, the church, has closed). When
they call for admission they are politely told by the Lord Himself, "I
know you not."—2TG44:38.6-39.1 (1949)
1. To how many denominations does VTH apply this
parable? (See: 2SR:178.4-179.1)
2. Is this parable in chronological order?
3. Does this parable begin at midnight?
4. Was the “extra oil” procured and stored in
vessels before Midnight?
5. If the cry was made in 1929, then isn’t that
contrary to the parable?
6. Did all ten virgins awake in 1929?
7. Common sense demands to know which
additional message [“extra oil”] did the wise obtain and store in vessels before
1929 ready for when the cry is made to awaken all ten virgins?
8. Therefore, were all ten virgins then found
in gross darkness WHEN the cry is made in 1929?
9. If no, then why not?
10. Because the current
position insists that the cry is made in 1929 then how and with what could the
five wise virgins with empty “vessel” refill in 1929?
11. How can God distinguish the
wise from the foolish AFTER the cry is made in 1929 with such a
contradictory private interpretation that the author of the SRod did not make?
12. Isn’t it abundantly clear
(according to this plain and simple logic of the parable) that anyone obtaining
the “extra oil,” after the cry is made, is lost?

Further outstanding anomalies are unaccounted for because of private interpretation.

…what does it mean to trim their lamps?
When you are using an oil lamp, you trim the wick so that when you light it, the flame will be clear and bright. An untrimmed wick is dim and sometimes smoky. If you want a nice bright flame, you trim the wick.

Could "…all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps" (Matt. 25:7) have happened in 1929? If not then we are still
in the tarrying time and the iJOD is still taking place in heaven in 2022. All Seventh-day Adventists at the hand of Elijah's helpers still have the privilege to fill our "vessels" with "extra oil" for the
future EVENT about to overtake all ten virgins at the same time.
PS:
"…at the beginning of the judgment for the living (when the cry was made), it became present truth no longer. Consequently their lamps went out.…"—2SR:182.3
This sentence is either ignored or suppressed. No Davidan worth his weight in salt can pull out a reference that proves the JOL began in 1929. Furthermore, none dare say that the iJOD Session has ceased in the heavenly Sanctuary. So only the penitent, the honest ones will realize not to follow private interpretations. Is the JOL still future? Then so is the Cry. The Cry to awaken all ten virgins at the same time always proceeds with the obtaining of the extra oil.
"When the judgment of the living begins and the cry is made, “Behold, the Bridegroom cometh: go ye out to meet Him,” they will all arise, but only half of them will gain admittance. The other half will have sinned against the Holy Spirit, will have rejected His Truth!"—2TG11:13.2
Bro. Houteff is consistent. These two points of doctrine are inseparable. The commencement of the JOL and the cry is made.
The cry to go and meet the bridegroom is NOT the same as, and it was never explained that the cry means He is there.
The sealing message is the only one ordained and capable of preparing the 144,000 for the anti-typical Passover EVENT Ezek. 9. That is the HOLY SPIRIT + "the sealing TIME," and the sealing message operates together only for the wise virgins, obedient penitent Laodiceans. The sealing message will be available still to the foolish virgins. However, they will seek the remedy after the eligibility period has expired (sealing time) and without the HOLY SPIRIT. The sealing TIME should never be construed to represent the moment after the sealing angel receives the command at the threshold of the house to put the "mark of deliverance" upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.
AFTER the cry is made and the lamps go out the foolish virgins skip the step to fill their "vessels". They never did fill their vessels. And neither did the wise fill their vessels after the Cry. The wise had their "vessels" full of "extra oil" BEFORE the cry is made. This is why five are counted as being wise. The five foolish virgins are only seeking to rush to the ark of safety to fill their lamps directly because they did not have the oil prior to the cry. Can you not see how foolish it is to try to make the reception of the oil the time of the cry? That is why anyone filling their lamps after the cry is made is always lost. Anyone teaching false doctrines when they ought to teach the truth is in danger of being left without the seal of God.
There is no escaping that there is an intervening period of time between the cry that awakens all ten virgins at the same time and His actual appearance executing Ezek. 9:1-11 and to deliver only penitent Laodiceans with lamps burning bright during the darkest hour of the night who will cry day and night for deliverance—a single 24-hour period before the slaughtering begins.
After reading 2SC12:8.4-6 when is the only time when the 144,000 are in need of deliverance in the Assyrian period and are without an intercessor? That is during the 1/2 hr. silence that begins in heaven. Fortunately for them, God helped them before the EVENT to have on the wedding garment.
Now let's take 1Tr:36.4 slowly, one piece at a time, and refuse to jump to conclusions.
(4) he will bear it to the people at the commencement of the "Loud Cry."—1Tr:36.4
Why is the word "Loud Cry" in quotes?
What does that mean? Find out. Let's move on.
Bro. Houteff in 5Tr:114.1 [1942] reveals when the LOUD cry will begin. Did he not? So in what light are we going to view that sentence. It can only be viewed only one way if it is the truth. We cannot have two places for a single point of the truth switching it from one position when it is convenient and then switching it under another circumstance. That is the purpose of deception, not the truth.
To get a proper understanding of the third angel's message we shall divide it into three periods: (1) Beginning of the proclamation of the true Sabbath, Rev. 14:6-11; (2) Reformation, and sealing of the 144,000, Rev. 7:1-8; (3) The Loud Cry, Rev. 18:1. The truth of the sealing (144,000) being made known, it is evident that WE ARE in the SECOND period. If we had not known the commencement of the third angel's message in its beginning, we would have had no message. Therefore, we must know the time of the last two periods when they came, being of no lesser importance.—1SR:32.2
But it is the truth of the FUTURE (the message) that will be revealed to the world LOUDLY that causes the second period to be fulfilled. Who cannot see that?
The purification of God's church marks the harvest or the "Loud cry" of the Third Angel's Message, for the Lord of the harvest declares, "Let both grow together until the harvest." The wheat gathered at the COMMENCEMENT of the harvest and at the separation from the tares in the church, is called the first-fruits of the harvest.…—2SR:102.1
So the "Loud Cry" happened in 1930? Please, for the love of Jesus, let's put the private interpretation away.
The first part of the chart, dated 1929, to the curve, marked Ezekiel 9, is the period in which the 144,000 are sealed—the separation of the tares from the wheat—the purification of the church. As the 144,000 are the "first fruits," the fulfillment of Ezekiel 9 and the sealing of the servants of God (the 144,000), marks the commencement of the final harvest, or as IT IS also called, "The Loud Cry." At that TIME [[ The "cry" for the living being of a greater importance to the world than the one for the dead, ]] the great multitude of Revelation 7:9, will be gathered in the church by the servants of God (the 144,000). (See Isaiah 66:19, 20.)—2SR:162.2
There are 29 references in the SRod that you can find with the word "commencement" + "loud cry". None of them will tell you that it began in 1929/1930. So why disrespect the prophet's interpretation of the parable of the ten virgins and make it do so? If it did it would be a contradictory ERROR, something the Spirit of God would not do.
Even in Tract 1 itself, what does it say before you reach page 36.4?
Since the purification, OR the sealing, came AT the COMMENCEMENT of the "Loud Cry," as we have already seen, the 144,000 are therefore the "first-fruits"—the first to be sealed…—1Tr:20.1
Is that 1929? No. It is not.
The name of the message must be known before the EVENT. It so happens that the EVENT has the SAME name as the name of the message. Why aren't those who believe that the cry happened in 1929 care to make the distinction the prophet is making? It is ERROR to be misleading and leave details out so that people can come to a confused inharmonious conclusion the presenter cherishes and idolizes.
When Jesus called his 11 before his crucifixion, did the third hour begin? No, right? But He was training them for the EVENT and the time of the preaching that would follow.
Likewise with us. The parable emphatically teaches that the EXTRA oil is not the "cry" and the "cry" is not the EXTRA oil. The oil is stored in "vessels" BEFORE the cry is heard by all ten virgins. When all ten virgins hear the "CRY" the "extra oil" is transferred from the "vessels" (an additional container) into the lamps.
According to the parable, what is the relationship of the "extra oil" to the "cry"?
Extra oil fills two separate containers at two different moments in time. No. 1. The Extra oil fills "vessels" before the cry is heard. And No. 2. The extra oil fills lamps after the cry is heard. IN FACT, did you ever consider that after the cry is made and heard it wakens all Ten Virgins at the same TIME, and "vessels" are never filled by either the five wise or the five foolish? The wise can re-fill their lamps on time after they heard the cry because they had obtained the "extra oil" before the cry is heard. The foolish cannot because they feel they have enough oil and made no additional preparations for the unexpected delay. Therefore the foolish re-fill their empty lamps directly skipping the stage of filling their vessels. Thus neither the wise nor the foolish fill vessels after the cry was made, ever.
The first filling of the "vessels" with "EXTRA OIL" is before probation closes. The second re-filling of the lamps with "EXTRA OIL" is after probation closes. The tarrying slumbering time is before the cry is heard during probationary time for the SDA Church in 2023. And to be awakened by the cry is after probation is about to close.
For God's sake, what sin could be blinding us from the truth that we dare not tear away ourselves from? Why is this parable so difficult to understand correctly?
These details will not be brought out by those who cherish error. But "it is written!"
One more time in light of the weight of evidence.
(4) he [[ EZEKIEL ]] will bear it to the people at the commencement of the "Loud Cry."—1Tr:36.4
If it is illogical that a message designed to save mind body and spirit is to be understood exactly when the EVENT (the execution of Judgment in punishment) is happening then it is even more illogical that the interpretation of the EVENT comes after it (the Execution) has occurred.
Imagine what attribute are you assigning to a HOLY God that all SDAs are condemned before the remedy is received? To say that the CRY happened in 1929/1930 before the interpretation to prepare for the EVENT is criminal.
Isn't it obvious that anyone obtaining EXTRA oil after the cry is heard is lost? Isn't this what the parable teaches?
Please stop teaching in this manner. Bro. Houteff went to the grave teaching that now is still the time for SDAs to "fill their vessels." That sentence could only mean that the phrase in question is referring to the revelation of the message that also happens to be called the "Loud Cry."
Furthermore, please take special notice of the correct relationship of the extra oil to the timing of the "cry" in the following reading:
Moreover, after the judgment of the dead [[ "the tarrying time…the time in which they all slumbered and slept" (2SR:181.3) ]] which the Church has been preaching for a number of years, is over [[ "for according to the parable they tarried before the cry was made" (2SR:181.3) ]], if the Church does not then receive a new message [[ "fill their vessels" (2TG43:24.5) ]], the message of the judgment of the living, she will have no message, no oil, for the TIME of the [[ "cry" ]] judgment of the living. {2TG11:13.1}
As the oil WAS available to all ten virgins, the parable makes clear that the message of the judgment of the living is brought to the Church, but that only half the virgins availed themselves of it [[ "at first opportunity" (1TG21:5.5) ]]. WHEN the judgment of the living begins and the cry is made, "Behold, the Bridegroom cometh: go ye out to meet Him," they will ALL arise, but only half of them will gain admittance. The other half will have sinned against the Holy Spirit, will have rejected His Truth! Consequently when they knock on the door, the Bridegroom's answer will be, "I never knew you." What foolishness! and what a disappointment that will be!—2TG11:13.1, 2 [1947]
You have now heard God Himself recommend that you hear the Rod—yes, The Shepherd's Rod, for since Micah's day The Shepherd's Rod is the only rod that has spoken, the only rod that can be read and listened to. The wise shall see its name, and [[ 1. ]] hear its voice and also Him Who has appointed it. They shall [[ 2. ]] fill their vessels with the extra "oil" (Matt.25:4), says the Lord.—2TG43:24.5 [1949]
"…fill their vessels (Matt. 25:1-4) with this extra oil (the additional truth—that of the judgment of the living)…"—WHR:37.2 [1951]
So when did the cry of Matt. 25:6 you allege took place, 1929/1930?
So explain to us how did the Cry take place in 1929/1930 and the correct interpretation came 2 years later too late in 1932 and yet we are still NOT in the time/EVENT of the judgment of the living?
Again for brethren who believe and insist that the midnight cry "behold the bridegroom cometh" took place in 1930 that awoke all TEN virgins at the same time.
Did you ever consider that neither the wise nor the foolish ever fill their "vessels" AFTER the cry is heard?
Where is the evidence to the contrary?
And how does the parable inform the penitent Laodicean to know what made the distinction between the five wise and the five foolish?
The answer to these questions should cause us to surrender error in exchange for truth.
"When asked to hear the reasons of a doctrine that you do not understand, do not condemn the message until you have given it a thorough investigation, and KNOW from the word of God that it is NOT tenable."—"Counsels on Sabbath School Work," pp. 31, 32.—1JL:10.1
"There is no excuse for anyone in taking the position that there is no more truth to be revealed, and that all OUR expositions of Scripture are without an ERROR. The fact that certain doctrines have been held as truth for many years by our people, is not a proof that our ideas are infallible. Age will not make error into truth, and truth can afford to be fair. No true doctrine will lose anything by close investigation."—"Counsels to Writers and Editors," p. 35.—1JL:9.1
Paving the Way for Sinning Against the Holy Ghost. {5Tr:6.4}
No one is lost for believing a false interpretation of a prophecy before the truth of it is revealed, provided the false interpretation does not draw him away from some other truth. Such individuals, however, are in great danger because, as history reveals, very few who become thus involved in error are willing to humble themselves by renouncing their errors and accepting the truth WHEN it is made known. They are consequently in constant peril of sinning against the Holy Ghost. And being acutely aware of this, Satan misinterprets the prophecies before they are divinely revealed. He realizes full well that many, unwilling to be corrected and to exchange their errors for revealed truth, will thereby be led to eternal ruin. All-important, therefore, is the need that the student of the truth fortify himself with all honesty and humility as the light of truth is now turned searchingly on
