A principle in response to pedestaling 2An:33
Can an incidental statement (2Ans:33 [1944])
TRUMP a body of dedicated statements (1Tr [1941])
on the same truth, Ezek. 9?
The
Bible says
“…that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.”
(Matt. 18:16.)
We have four witnesses speaking on the same subject
affirming as a doctrine of truth that
(1.) Breath of life + (2.) a material body = (3.) a soul
This is a doctrine taught by the Holy Spirit through…
Proof: Moses
Ge. 2:7—“And the LORD God formed
man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of
life; and man became a living soul.”
Solomon
Ec. 12:7—“Then shall the dust
return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who
gave it.”
James
Jas. 2:26—“For as the body without the
spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”
Moses
Job 27:3—“All the while my breath
is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils;…”
Ezekiel
Ez. 18:20—“The soul that sinneth, it shall die.”
The Bible also on the other side of the same doctrinal spectrum
says through God the creator of heaven and earth and through a true prophet the
following:
1Ki 17:12, 17-23—And she said, As the LORD thy God liveth, I
have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a
cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it
for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die.
17 ¶ And it came to pass after these
things, that the son of the woman, the mistress of the house, fell sick; and his
sickness was so sore, that there was no breath left in him.
18 And she said unto Elijah, What have I
to do with thee, O thou man of God? art thou come unto me to call my sin to
remembrance, and to slay my son?
19 And he said unto her, Give me thy
son. And he took him out of her bosom, and carried him up into a loft,
where he abode, and laid him upon his own bed.
20 And he cried unto the LORD, and said,
O LORD my God, hast thou also brought evil upon the widow with whom I sojourn, by
slaying her son?
21 And he stretched himself upon the
child three times, and cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God, I pray
thee, let this child's soul come into him again.
22 And the LORD heard the voice
of Elijah; and the soul of the child came into him again, and he
revived.
23 And Elijah took the child, and
brought him down out of the chamber into the house, and delivered him unto his
mother: and Elijah said, See, thy son liveth.
Which one is true?
Which one am I going to accept because I cannot have both polar opposing
positions occupying the position of constituted authority at the same time or
conveniently switch sides as it is politically expedient? For all those who may
not know, the Bible abides by the law of non-contradiction.
This is why an incidental statement about a truth i.e. “the
sealing” will never trump a dedicated body analysis of many interpreted
statements in context of that singular subject of truth no matter how much
younger it is.
