“…Ye know not what Hour your Lord doth come.”
“…Ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.”
Have you read Matt. 24:42-51?
Are these words of Jesus true and faithful?
Are you sure? Because I am going to hold you against them. It is a fact that to
be Forewarned is forearmed. May God help us to
understand for He has promised, “Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do
wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall
understand.” Dan. 12:10.
Because we know that God cannot lie (Tit. 1:2)
we know that these "figure" or "symbol" (GC:598.3) free words must come to pass as stated literally.
1. Have you accepted the gravity of these words? If yes
2. are you prepared to meet the challenge comparing scripture with scripture?
Then let us proceed.
Here we have Jesus describing in no uncertain
terms a coming of His where when He comes is to find two
classes of servants within His church. How do I know that this is referring to
His church and not the world? vs. 45 in the following reading has the explicit
answer for us.
Matthew 24:45-47—“Who then is a faithful and
wise servant, whom his lord hath
made ruler over his household, to
give them meat in due season?
46
Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
47
Verily I say unto you, That he shall
make him ruler over all his goods.
Let’s pause for a moment and recognize that this
R.O.I. is unmatched by any human opportunity standard ever offered or by what
could theoretically be achieved by what is physically currently available to us
in obtaining control over the whole planet. It still would pale in comparison and
into insignificance to what the Lord actually owns which comprises “all his
goods.” What a mighty God we serve and is our opportunity to hear from Him and for
Him to be understood correctly from His word for a favorable outcome as we will
shortly come to learn.
The class He claims as His servant are
found giving; when? “…meat in due season.” Where?
In “his household.” Now if they are found then certainly Jesus is
literally in their line of sight proximity to witness it just as when Jehovah
came down to earth to be a guest at His future Patriarch’s home. Abraham was in
the line of sight of the Creator of heaven and earth prepared to keep covenant
with Him.
However, that is not all He found at this
coming. But before we get to the unpleasant aspect inside His household we now
want to bring out certain facts that prove why this could not possibly happen
at the Second Coming described in 1Thess 4:16, 17.
Am 8:11—¶ Behold, the days come, saith the
Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a
thirst for water, but of hearing the
words of the LORD:
This is one reason why Matt. 24:42-51 could
not be applicable post probationary time. And here is another very familiar
reason that all studying SDAs know:
“…Christ is waiting with longing desire for
the manifestation of Himself in His church. When the character of Christ shall be perfectly reproduced in His people, THEN He will come to
claim them as His own.”—COL:69.1
Based on a calm and collective analysis of
Matt. 24:42-51 and compared to Am. 8:11 and COL:69.1, can we now continue to
safely assume that this takes place after the general close of probation at His
Second Coming?
Wise answer, no, it couldn’t be. Why? The
Bible and the SOP has the answer for us. Because in order for “the days”
prophesied in Amos 8:11 to come to pass there must be “a famine in the land,
not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the
LORD.” Therefore
Point No. 1 Matt. 24:42-51 describes a contrary
condition to what precedes (Am 8:11) “the last day” (Jn 6:40). And
Point No. 2 at the coming of Matt. 24:42-51
his servants are divided and some are doing opposite of their Lord’s command
which defies the precursor to the Lord’s Second Coming and the condition of all
of his servants in “His household” attested by C.O.L. page 69.1
Besides the way the Bible describes Jesus’
Second Coming, the Spirit of Prophecy gives us certain additional, privileged,
insider information like the announcement of the day and the hour
before He returns (EW:14.1). This is the kind of information that is illegal
for some to act upon before engaging in the stock market at the opening bell.
But here we are, the privileged children of the Most High God, professed
Seventh-day Adventist’s, capable of identifying the gift of the Spirit of
Prophecy in its active form, after the passing of Sis. White, being invited to
have once again insider-information by His standard method of producing it
(Amos 3:7). And instead He generally finds the majority agreeing with “the
angel” who has charge over this “His household” in the latter days making the false
claim “I” (the SDA leadership) “am rich, and increased with goods, and have
need of nothing.” Notwithstanding the poison of this influence (TM:107.1) “the
angel” found in that condition by the “True
Witness” goes on to receive the
worse spiritual state of the union report of any of the previous churches
described and in this deplorable condition professes to be expecting our Lord’s
soon return calling for everyone “get involved.”
That is not all He finds at this particular
coming that is uncommendable. There is another class of church members violating
“religious liberty” literally smiting their fellow servants inside His “household.”
Isn’t that what we just read? Now we have a serious problem to contend with
here. How is this remotely possible? The cause is ascertained. Some take their
eyes off from Jesus and begin to behold and fix it upon “intellect, genius or
talent” (5T:80.1). They listen to idols instead of his messengers in the time
of the latter rain. (See: Zech. 10:1, 2.)
Only those found giving “meat in due season” that
has its direct Inspired source (Amos 3:7) from Heaven itself in an additional
message (6T:420.3; 406.4) scheduled to return once again (GCDB, February 7, 1893. p. 185.4, 5) to the SDA Church will certainly have reason
and power to escape the temptation of saying in his heart, “my Lord delayeth
his coming” and find God’s power to resist the smiting of his “fellowservants” in
God’s household “who have the spirit of the work of the Lord and the salvation
of souls at heart” (3T:266.2-267.1) and join in feeding.
We have very good evidence to the contrary of
the false claim that there is no “new light” for the people of God. We only
need look beyond our two favorite (Daniel and the Revelation) books and with
the S.O.P. Key (3SM:338.1) in hand acknowledge the lack of understanding of
many other prophecies in other prophetic books yet to be unfolded to our
understanding from the Bible and to be prepared to even unlearn many, many (CW:37.1)
of our ideas and opinions that have been held as truth from our favorite books.
So the point should become ominous, startling to our lukewarm carnal security,
and contrary to the mantra that there are no more messages of truth to be
revealed by a prophet and that we have all we are ever going to receive before
the Second Coming of Christ or even before the Mark of the Beast is instituted.
(See: 6T:17.1.)
He
who denies inspired interpretation of the Scriptures is denying the office of
the Holy Spirit, and is sinning against Him—committing the unpardonable sin!
One of the key points brought out in this
reading is that by the attitude of watching out for every ray of divine light (hungering
and thirsting after righteousness) a few (144,000 living saints) will break
away from Satan’s ploy and begin to receive for themselves and really provide for
others in God’s household “meat in due season” that prepares His people for “the great and dreadful
day of the Lord.” How can I calmly make this bold claim? Easy. Because we are
finite and often overlook what is right under our noses without and while rejecting the aid of Inspiration. Take a closer look
at vs. 45. It reads:
Mt 24:45—Who then is a faithful and wise
servant, whom his lord
hath made ruler over his
household, to give them
meat in due season?
Who is the “them” of vs. 45 and where are they? Are they inside or
outside? Let the Bible give us the answer by quoting the unpleasant reality.
Vs. 49 has two classes of people indicated and identified by the language of
our present prophesied inside incident so long ago by Jesus Himself on the
dusty roads of Judea (the Vineyard). Are they not all “fellowservants” of the
same “household”? If we are going to remain candid and honest then Yes, indeed
they are. Thus the “them” now should be easier to identify. It is those
who have received, and have (Berean) proved and now understandingly accept a
special commission, not to go into all the world yet, but to first rather “go
to the lost sheep of the house of Israel” (“…the closing work FOR the [SDA]
church, in the sealing time of the one hundred and forty-four thousand…”) whom
many “know not the Hour” of their visitation in judgment
(1Pe 4:17).
If you want to know more about this invisible Coming where Jesus will NOT then be dressed with his Kingly attire but rather in “garments of vengeance” (5T:689.2) please feel free to make an appointment to discuss this further in person. God bless.
