Ensign 13

Time of Jacob’s Trouble & Fundamental Beliefs - part C This makes it the thirteenth to Bro. Tony’s document. Adding to my previous twelfth point that is called “ENSIGN.” Read 2SC2 p. 3 paragraph 6 & 7: Ans. It is true that in the eyes of  a surface reader  Matthew  contradicts  Daniel and Daniel contradicts Matthew, but  WHEN  the student of prophecy  is led by the Spirit of God,  Who dictated the Scriptures, he sinks the shaft deep into the mine of truth, for he knows  that the Scriptures in themselves are in perfect harmony. —2SC2:3.6 What does this 1st paragraph teach us? 1. …Only those who are searching for a hook to hang their doubts upon, and  who are surface readers and shallow thinkers,  can conclude that the one publication contradicts the other, and if they thus conclude concerning these publications, they also might just as well conclude that one part of the Bible  contradicts  another.—3SC8,10:10.7 2...

SOLUTIONS TO BIBLE “ERRORS”

https://defendinginerrancy.com/bible-difficulties/ Select from the OT to the NT for resolutions. Our faith may not be taken into account because these are evangelicals but so far I see this as a great resource. https://defendinginerrancy.com/ And now for some "golden bowl" counsel to remain in the middle of the road, safety first.      We read in Great Controversy, page 397: "The spirit of error will lead us from the truth, and the Spirit of God will lead us into truth.  But, say you, a man may be in an error, and think he has the truth.  What then?  We answer,  The Spirit and word  agree .   If a man judges himself by the word of God,  and  finds  a perfect harmony through the whole word,  then he must believe he has the truth; but if he finds the spirit by which he is led  does not harmonize  with the whole tenor of God's law or book, then let him walk carefully, lest he be caught in the snare of the dev...

Ensign 12

Time of Jacob’s Trouble & Fundamental Beliefs - part B This is my response to Bro. Tony’s reply document to the Time of Jacob’s Trouble: How many times does Assyria fall? Isa. 31:8— ” Then shall the Assyrian fall with the sword , not of a mighty man ; and the sword not of a mean man , shall devour him : but he shall flee from the sword and his young men shall be discomfited .” When we cast away our idols then the Assyrian will fall and the Assyrian yoke will be broken. Isa. 31:9— ” And he shall pass over to his strong hold for fear , and his princes shall be afraid of the ensign , saith the Lord , Whose fire is in Zion , and His furnace in Jerusalem .” The “ensign” is the object of the Assyrians’ fear. AFTER God’s elect go through the baptism of fire and come out purified and refined , the ensign or Kingdom is to be set up in Jerusalem for a place of refuge for the others who will afterwards come into It. This is God’s schedule.—12 SC 6,7:17.3-18.1 Assyria is found in both ...
