"The sealing"

What does the SRod mean when it uses the phrase “the sealing”?   [NOTE: This is an evidentiary follow-up to What is the seal 3rd Attempt suppressed details by presupposition  (which explains that Elijah's message makes a difference between 1. " the sealing  message" 2. " the sealing time" 3. " the sealing angel.") and a " Comparison between What is the seal? " If you haven't gone through these already view them first in order to be thoroughly grounded upon the subject and to benefit the most from having eaten the pie correctly.]    Moreover, whatever interpretation we may place on any statement in reference to any truth, must be in harmony with every other statement on the subject .—3SC1:11.1 Let us now assemble together to analyze and then count "the sealing" phrase one by one as it specifically relates to Ezek. 9. After this exhaustive exposé it will become abundantly clear how this phrase has more than one aspect. Referen...

Got Milk?

We have no reason to be lukewarm Davidians full of unbelief about future revelations of truth  after  the commencement of Ezekiel 9. Here are seven positive reasons why more truth will be revealed to the 144,000 during the period of the 7th Seal. 1.    …Why would God make a double prophecy for the same thing?—because the old prophecy (the type) only gives the details from the beginning of the third angel's message to the fulfillment of Ezekiel 9.  The prophecy by Ezekiel gives the information in detail from the beginning of Luther's reformation to Ezekiel 9, marking of the 144,000, and unrolling of the scroll.  ("Not all in regard to this matter is yet understood, nor will it be understood until the unrolling of the scroll. " Volume 6, page 17.)—1SR:116.1 2.    SEVEN—PERFECT NUMBER      In this prophecy we find there are only six portions, and only six steps have been made.  Luther, Knox, Wesley, Campbell, Miller and White....

Who has the keys?

Who has the keys to the kingdom of Heaven today?      Consequently, when Christ gave the Keys to Peter, He gave him the gospel AND a divine commission to preach it. And so long as Peter and his co-workers were true to this charge, just so long did they possess the Keys to lock or to unlock to men the kingdom of God, and to have sanctioned in heaven whatever they bound or loosed on earth. Accordingly, with Inspiration 4 Answerer 38 and progressive revelation, Present Truth, go the Keys. {4An:38.3}       Obviously, therefore, a message from heaven, proclaimed by God's chosen servants, is all-powerful, and by it man's eternal destiny is decided. {4An:39.1}       Plainly, then, the Keys are not the church herself, but ARE IN the message which she proclaims . So no man or set of men has power to loose or bind with Heaven's approval save at the instance of a message vouchsafed directly from Heaven for them to bear for th...

What's in a name?

“What's in a name?  That which we call a rose.  By any other name would smell as sweet.”— William Shakespeare The meaning of the phrase is that what matters is what something is, not what it is called. Tract 8 has a copyright of 1937. What is the subject? Mount Sion at the Eleventh Hour When was the Constitution and by-laws written? (See: 13Tr44:45.4) In SC Vol. 3 No. 2, February 1937, Read the following after paragraph 7. What is the title of the directory? In SC Vol. 3 No. 3-4, Marh-April, 1937 someone wrote to the association:      "I am very thankful for the SRod message that has helped me to draw closer to Jesus.  I am studying the message, and am happy to be a Shepherd's Rod Seventh-day Adventist .  I want to be at Mt. Carmel, but I love to read the letters that come from this center even if I do not have the privilege of being there just now."—3SC3,4:12.2  [1937] (Signed)   Buster McTyre, age 8 In SC 4, Nos. 1, 2, 3 Jan-Feb-Mar 19...

Sister White did not have the complete light

Is this taught in the Shepherd's Rod message?      Perhaps their grossest distortion of fact is the statement: “When the attention of the author of The Shepherd’s Rod was called to this direct contradiction, he did not deny it, but claimed that his interpretation should be accepted because Sister White did not have the complete light on the subject.”—A Reply to The Shepherd’s Rod, p. 42. {7Tr:34.1}      This allegation deals either in fabrication or misconstruction, for at no time have we made any such statement, neither indeed could have made it, as we believe the Rod to be in perfect harmony with the writings of Sister White. Therefore we hope that for their own sakes the committee will be honorable enough to correct this misrepresentation.—7Tr:34.1, 2 I did a search by reading all 56 references to make sure Bro. Houteff never used this understanding concerning Sis. White, "did not" + "light".  The closest passage that almost fits the sentiments of ...
