7a - Illustrate the Dardanelles time line

Where - what - when He gave the command in Ezek. 9:4

Last time we were all together the following was presented: Let’s summarize the high points of each of the selected readings for our Prayer Thought:      No one, say the Scriptures, can privately (without Inspiration) unfold the prophecies, for, reasons the Apostle, as prophecy came not by private effort—not by the will of men, but by holy men and the Spirit—neither can it therefore be of private interpretation, but only by holy men led by the Holy Spirit. Moreover, even after prophecy is thus interpreted, ONLY to the righteous (the penitent) is given the GIFT of understanding it (Dan. 12:10).—2TG44:31.2    The apparent discrepancies between the Rod and the Spirit of Prophecy are fabricated by men whose minds are filled with private interpretations , opinions of uninspired men, self - exaltation , etc., to such an extent that their vision of the Scriptures and the writing of Sr. White has so greatly shrunk that they cannot see both ends o...

What is the seal 3rd Attempt suppressed details by presupposition

Prayer Thought: TM:105.1-106.1 Under the following heading “What Kind of Seal Is It?” we find the following corroborating references: “It is positive that the sealing of the 144,000 is Ezekiel 9,— the separation (sifting in the church—the godly from the ungodly).”—1SR:26.    “Note that AT the command of the Lord, the angels in charge are to slay the sinners in Jerusalem (in the church), not in the world. Only the abomination-hating ones, those who receive the mark for sighing and crying against the wrongs are to be left.”—1TG52:16.1    “Besides this vivid illustration, Inspiration, through the prophet Daniel reveals that the Sanctuary is to be cleansed not only from sinners, but from doctrinal error , too…”—2TG42:32.2 A direct phrase “the Sealing” search in the SRod yields 276 occurrences in 239 records. What is the seal 3rd Attempt

What is the seal? (Third Attempt)    This sealing of the servants of God is the same that was shown to  Ezekiel  in vision.  John  also had been a witness of this most startling revelation.—TM:445.2 Read Ezek. 9:1-7 Where is this brazen altar? The first movement by these angels who draw near is not explained from the North Gate to the Brazen Altar. Yet we know from Moses’ testimony… Ex 25:8, 9—And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.  9 According to all that I shew thee,  after the pattern  of the tabernacle, and  the pattern  of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it. We see here that the angels were waiting for Christ at the Brazen Altar. Christ ceases from his mediatorial work between the cherub where he was and with Him they (6 angels with destroying weapons) come to the threshold of the house.…Then they began at the ancient men [men of responsibility] which were before the house.”—RH, May 21...

Ezek. 10:2.— 1Tr:38.2 Wh...

Prayer Thought: (1) 2TG44:31.2; (2) TM 107.3-108.3; (3) 1SC18:8.4      No one, say the Scriptures, can privately (without Inspiration) unfold the prophecies, for, reasons the Apostle, as prophecy came not by private effort—not by the will of men, but by holy men and the Spirit—neither can it therefore be of private interpretation, but only by holy men led by the Holy Spirit.  Moreover, even after prophecy is thus interpreted, ONLY to the righteous (the penitent) is given the gift of understanding it (Dan. 12:10).—2TG44:31.2 (John 7:17; Jas 4:6)         The Scriptures to be Studied with                           Reverence      We should come with reverence to the study of the Bible, feeling that we are in the presence of God. All lightness and trifling should be laid aside. While some portions of the word are easily understood, the tru...

What is the Seal2

What is the Seal?  (2 nd Attempt) So, what is the seal? This phrase (“what is the seal”) appears five times in all of the Shepherd’s Rod message. Who better to explain what It actually is than the one responsible for proclaiming “the sealing message,” the messenger himself Victor T. Houteff in the Spirit and Power of Elijah. I’m not here to overturn what is written, neither to add nor to take away from the message but rather to magnify more clearly what is already written on the subject. We may have covered this area of the message many times over but not in such a detained way. We will challenge each of our points of view and push ourselves to validate rather than making the usual assertions based on a previous common understanding never having been taken to task to prove them. I hope in the process we will have a greater appreciation. At this time I would also like to bring to all of our conscious attention openly so that we can take a few deep breathes and go over thes...
