TM 475.3 – The Question

Did the servant of the Lord, Ellen G. White, experience Revelation 3:17? Let's find out. My Life Today p. 25.1-7 My Counsellor and Guide      Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. Psalm 73:24 {ML 25.1}       The Christian evidence that we need, is found not in the experience of men, but in our Bibles. The Word of God is the man of our counsel; for it brings us down from age to age, bearing its testimony to the unchangeableness of the truth. Not one of the ancient defenses of the word of God, appropriate for special times, has become worn out. No part of the Bible has died from old age. All the past history of the people of God is to be studied by us today, that we may benefit by the experiences recorded.  {ML 25.2}        Men break their word, and prove themselves untrustworthy, but God changes not. His word will abide the same forever.  {ML 25.3}        Gi...

Every Word

John 17:17—Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. ~ The word (truth) of God does the sanctifying ~ “Every Word…”      The Jews had faith of a similar character to that of many professed Christians today. They believed the prophecies predicting the advent of Messiah; but their faith was not of that spiritual nature which discerned in the Son of God the Saviour  of their expectations . They  could not  accept the work of God for their time, and they rejected the truth because  their faith   did not see   the relation of the shadow to the substance . They clung tenaciously to the offering of their sacrifices, to the rites of the church and the traditions of the fathers; but they refused the Lamb of God, the great antitype of all the services of the past. They were very zealous for the observance of form, and claimed to trust in Moses and the prophets; but he who had inspired the words of the Scriptures, and whose life was the...

Will there be babies in the earth made new?

Observation : EW page 13-16.  In this book and these specific pages sister White gives and account of a vision she had.  But the part of the vision that is interesting is that part of the vision she says she came to earth with the saints in this part we find her describing little ones with wings and describing the temple in which the 144,000 alone enter.  I thought before that this was in heaven but when reading again she is describing the event when the saints came down to earth.  How can we reconcile or understand this occasion in relation to what she says later that there is no marriage on the new earth and also no children.  Are we to understand it in the light of the unrolling at the scroll at the time? Also when she describes the temple what temple is she referring to because John saw no temple in the new earth.  Or is this a different temple, a place of worship? Analysis : Let's affirm Sis. White's testimony: Conjectures Regarding the Future Life...

Will Whole Conferences be lost?

Devoid of the Spirit of God in the name of Jesus      "O ye hypocrites," said Jesus, "ye can discern the face of the sky,"—by studying the sky they could foretell the weather,--"but can ye not discern the signs of the times?" Christ's own words, spoken with the power of the Holy Spirit that convicted them of sin, were the sign that God had given for their salvation. And signs direct from heaven had been given to attest the mission of Christ. The song of the angels to the shepherds, the star that guided the wise men, the dove and the voice from heaven at His baptism, were witnesses for Him.  {DA 406.2}        "And He sighed deeply in His spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek after a sign?" "There shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas." As Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the whale, Christ was to be the same time "in the heart of the earth." And as the preaching of ...
